Humility with Patience
A Good Woman of the Sinai Desert
By Housewife4Palestine
Being born in a country that is not your homeland is as though you are walking in a desert, you do everything to live a righteous life and clothe you’re self modestly to be expectable to Allah. But unless you are around others like your self, you have troubles understanding these foreign people because you have nothing in common. Sometimes, you may even suffer prejudice and I will assure you this was before September 11.
Some encounters people have enjoyed your company because they think you are rare, you may even be told how they wish their where more people like you because you still hold to values that seems to be fading away in this foreign land. With this you have a type of loneliness, which you think sometimes nothing but Allah can repair.
The hardest part sometimes, is speaking the same language with people and they do not understand you. But when you speak to someone from your original homeland it sparks a smile in your heart when every word that comes from your lips is understood.
You are probably asking why don’t I just go home, for the simple reason Allah had me born in this foreign country for a reason and all I see at home is war and death. And I know that what is happening at home is a crime against Allah.
Also, being born in that foreign land again, you do sympathize with those people who you’re watching their love ones die too. Too many people are dying and this Allah never intended, but Shaytan (Satan) laughs to see the blood.
But again as I wonderer through this desert ragged with the atrocities in this life and gaining its wisdom. I can still look in front of me and see the Purple Mountains and know one day I truly will be home.
But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
