Ancient Gilan Rediscovered?

The historical town of Haft-Daghnan near the provincial city of Somee-sara, dating back to 1,200 years ago, is a symbol of the ancient civilization and history of Gilan.

Haft-Daghnan was recently surveyed by a number of archaeologists from Iran's Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization. During the excavations of the site some ancient objects were unearthed.
