A series of seven car bombings killed over 20 people and wounded over 80 other civilians in the city of Kirkuk, Iraq.
The series of deadly attacks took place after Iraqi National Guard forces raided the city, which recently underwent a wave of secretarian violence, in a failed attempt to look for militants in the city.
The city also has a curfew imposed on the residents so that night time raids can be implemented in the search for insurgents.
One of the car bombings took place in front of a known resistance fighter’s house killing him as well.
