Saudi Arabia refuses to host Palestinian Prime Minister

Jerusalem - Ma'an – Well-informed Palestinian sources have confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has refused to officially receive Palestinian Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh, who was supposed to be on an official visit to the kingdom.

The sources did not give any further information about reasons for this refusal, although some other sources connected this with the visit of the Prime Minister to Qatar, before visiting Saudi Arabia, in addition to the deterioration of the Palestinian internal situation, especially after the failure of the formation of the unity government.

Ma'an also learned that the Egyptian authorities have started a new mediation between the Fatah and Hamas movements, to bridge the gaps between them. This is apparently why the president has postponed his speech to the people until Thursday.
