Israel plans to partition the West Bank
Ramallah - Palestinian land’s expert Khalil Al-Tafakji has warned that Israel was planning to partition the West Bank through its construction of tunnels and bridges linking its settlements there.
Tafakji warned that the Tel Aviv government was trying to revive former premier Ariel Sharon’s plan of establishing Palestinian cantons in the West Bank with the hope to enforce Palestinian mass exodus to Jordan.
He said that Israel was deceiving the public opinion by declaring that it would dismantle 27 roadblocks from the West Bank, which he said constitute only a fraction of the 700 road barriers spread all over the area.
Meanwhile, an Arab League report said that Israel was controlling 80% of Palestinian water resources.
The report by the Damascus-based water studies and Arab water security center said that Israel had always focussed on controlling water sources in the region through its military offensives.
