Israeli Violations Last Week Kills 12 Palestinians, Injures 25 others
GAZA, Palestine, June 9, 2007 (IPC) - - A statistical report on the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks against the Palestinian people in all districts
According to the report, prepared by the Palestinian National Information Center PNIC pointed out that the occupation forces committed during the last week about 1309 violations against the right of our people during the period 05/29/2007 and 4/6/2007. In which, IOF killed 12 residents, and injured 25 others; pointing out that the number of the Israeli violations since the beginning of the year 2007 amounted to 28550 violations.
The report added that the IOF continued during the above mentioned period to use all of its military aptitudes and suppressive acts against unarmed civilians, which led to inflict maximum losses on our people.
Forms of the Israeli violations were in the shooting and shelling of residential areas and repeated incursions of the Palestinian cities and towns, establishment of military roadblocks and checkpoints on roads leading to Palestinian cities and towns, and frequent closures of towns and cities, land confiscation and other attacks.
The report added that the occupation forces opened fire towards the residents and their belongings 73 times resulted in the killing of 12 residents, and wounded 25 others, IOF also carried out 42 arrest campaigns, which resulted in the arrest of 118 residents. Occupation carried out 70 raids in 217 military incursions.
According to the report, the Israeli occupation forces carried out, during the last week about 51 campaigns for installing of military roadblocks and flying checkpoints reached 107 barriers.
As it was reported, the IOF also closed roads and crossings in the face of residents and the movement of goods 332 case of closure, as well as bulldozed two arable lands.
As for the attacks of Israeli settlers, the report figured out that armed settler gangs assaulted Palestinian residents 3 times in the same period.
The report pointed out that the number of Israeli violations against our people since the beginning of the year of 2007 until the date 4/6/2007, have reached 28550 violations, including 1333 shooting which killed 123 residents and wounded 741 others.
During 2007, occupation forces erected 2415 roadblocks and barriers, arrested 2546 residents, and also carried out dredging and the uprooting of trees, where the number of such acts reached 79 times, while Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinians during the same period 82 times.
