Hamas’ Executive Force Says Some Fatah Members are Planning to Sabotage Public Places in Gaza

The Executive Force of Hamas issued a press release stating the senior sources stated that members of Fatah movement in Gaza are planning to hold demonstrations in specific places in Gaza City in order to undermine security in Gaza as the new school year approaches.

The Force stated that the planned acts are intended to be carried out in the coming few days.

According to the Executive Force statement, Fatah members are planning to undermine security and stability in Gaza, and claimed that some Fatah members attacked worshipers in Gaza last Friday, and hurled stones and empty bottles at public places.

Furthermore, the Force stated the these attacks on the eve of the new school year are carried out in an attempt to disrupt the educational process after the government in Gaza, headed by Ismail Haniyya of Hamas, announced that it is conducting the need preparations for the new school year.

The Force also stated that that some Fatah members are planning to sabotage a march planned for next Friday from the Battalion Mosque in the city.

The Force issued a warning that it will punish any person or group if sabotage acts are carried out, and stated that it will maintain law and order in the Gaza Strip.
