Israeli Trash Dumped Near Palestinian Villages

QIBYA, WEST BANK - Pages from a Hebrew book turn in the breeze where it lies amongst Israeli rubbish which has been dumped August 28, 2007 near the Palestinian village of Qibya in the West Bank.

Tons of Israeli refuse and building waste is being dumped daily on Palestinian farmland in the area due east of Tel Aviv as villagers choose to eke out a living by digging through the rubbish for recyclable metals instead of tending their now-destroyed olive groves that once covered the rocky hillsides.
