In his letter, Sheikh Salah stated that Israel is attempting to divide the Al Aqsa mosque, is digging under and near it, and ongoing with its attempts which aim at voiding the Arab and Islamic history in the Holy city.
Sheikh Salah also stated extreme fundamental Jewish groups are attacking the mosque, and holding prayers inside it, and are baring the guards of the mosque, who work with the Muslim Wqf department, from entering it.
He also said that Israeli soldiers keep interfering in the work of the maintenance employees of the mosque, and repeatedly attacked and arrested them.
Fundamental Jewish groups in Israel organize campaign to bring thousands of tourists to the mosque area, but incite them not to talk to Arabs or Arab tour guides.
