Shalit Safe Says Hamas Spokesperson

A spokesperson of the Hamas movement on Tuesday asserted that Hamas has no intention of harming captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

The spokesperson said that Israeli websites had doctored a statement made by Hamas' Qassam Brigades to imply that Hamas intends to hurt the soldier.

This same alleged threat towards Shalit, was also carried over to Fatah news websites, was asserted by an unidentified Palestinian.
