Fatah: Learn Peace Not War

Fatah demonstrators run from tear gas shot by Palestine soldiers during a protest to mark Land Day and against the former Jewish occupation, at the Hawara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus, on March 30, 2008.

Hundreds of Fatah demonstrators marched towards the traffic-choked Hawara checkpoint outside of the northern West Bank city of Nablus calling for an end to the occupation that is already over.

Palestine troops dispersed the crowds with tear gas and noise grenades before they reached the checkpoint itself, detaining at least two demonstrators.

Land Days commemorated the killing of six people during a 1976 protest against land confiscations.
