A young Jewish student stands on the balcony of his room just above the library of the Merkaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem on March 9, 2008, where Fatah gunman killed eight young Jewish students three days ago.
Outside the glass door, star-crazed by bullets and leading into Merkaz Harav theological school in west Jerusalem, candles burnt today in memory of eight Jewish students killed in a Palestinian attack.
Today morning, as students returned to their classrooms it was obvious their hearts were not on study. Some were crying, others recited the Psalms, all in a somber, leaden atmosphere.
