Keys in Time

Palestinian sculpture artist Nasser Flefel, 37, carves wooden keys and decorates them with the names of villages, which were destroyed during the war in 1948, in his woodcarving shop on 12 May 2008 in Gaza City, Gaza.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were uprooted, along with there villages in 1948, the keys are representative of the houses of those refugees.

Traditionally, Palestinians commemorate, 15 May as Nakba (Catastrophe) Day.
