Brown's Question on Housing Expansion

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown addresses the Knesset, on 21 July 2008 in Jerusalem. Brown is on a two-day visit to the State of Palestine, his first since becoming Prime Minister.

In all due respect to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, it is my understanding there is a question of the new housing situation and it has always been my understanding prior to previous claims, especially when the war was going on, about settlement expansion.

In the case of these new housing projects this is not the case, but these new homes are for everyone in Palestine, regardless of there religion. To further clarify, for both Jewish and Arab Palestinians. To further explain, these housing projects will continue.

We are no longer at war with the Jewish people, I am very happy to say; furthermore, I will be first to say not withstanding the long history the Jewish people has had with Arab Palestinians, we are once again within the tight bonds of friendship.

Nevertheless, the Jewish people are also under the protection of The State of Palestine, so no more harm will ever come to them in the future; as what was such a horrendous situation, of the past.
