No Release for al-Atabeh

Al-Atabeh is the most veteran Canaanite prisoner, who has been jailed in the Jewish sector, since 1977.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted of commanding a terrorist military type cell of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP); one of its members planted several explosive devices that blew up.

Thirty-three people were wounded, and one died of his wounds.

It has been recommended that Said al-Atabeh, will never be released from prison. He is still considered extremely dangerous.
