Iran, China presidents hold talks

Beijing-Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao started their talks on major bilateral, regional and international issues in a meeting here on Saturday.

The Iranian president arrived in Beijing earlier on Saturday to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games due to be held in China on September 6-17 at the 'Bird Nest' in Beijing's Olympic Village.

This is President Ahmadinejad's second visit to China since he took office in 2005.

His first visit took place in June 2006 when President Ahmadinejad participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit meeting.

President Ahmadinejad is accompanied by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and head of Iran's Physical Education Organization Mohammad Aliabadi.
