Enemies of Lebanon facing deadend: Jalili

Tehran-Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Tuesday that the enemies of Lebanon who attempted to create crisis for the Lebanese nation are now facing a deadend.

He made the remark in a meeting with the visiting former president of Lebanon Emile Lahoud.

He arrived in Tehran on an invitation of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Jalili expressed pleasure with the current positive atmosphere created in Lebanon through establishment of national reconciliation.

Referring to Lebanon as an appropriate example for coexistence of various tribes and religions, he voiced Tehran's readiness to assist Lebanon in order to help the country further develop in all areas.

Jalili further referred to Lebanon as the manifestation of victorious resistance to the armed-to-teeth enemy.

He praised resistance movement of the Lebanese nation, stressing that such resistance made the US leaders confess to their past wrong policies.

Lahoud, for his part, termed the Islamic Republic of Iran as the real friend of the Lebanese nation and appreciated Iran's key role in helping resolve the crisis in his country.

He underlined the need for vigilance of the Lebanese people against the enemies' conspiracies.
