Olmert Talks About Kristallnacht

Jewish Prime Minister Ehud Olmert talks about the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, on 9 November 2008 in Jerusalem.

Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, was a pogrom in Nazi Germany where on the night of 9 November 1938; hundreds of Jewish synagogues and businesses were destroyed as 92 Jews were murdered and tens of thousands were arrested and deported to concentration camps.

Remembering tends to show the heart
No matter if one’s in a crowd,
We still lean towards walking alone
Within our own thoughts.

As to the whole of humanity, my arms in unconditional love and justice which extends to the circumference of the four winds; as a mother would give milk to her children in kindness.
