Israel's Mossad remains in charge of Iran nuclear file: report

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has decided that Mossad,Israel's intelligence agency, will remain in charge of the Iranian nuclear file.
With his decision, Olmert rejected an appeal by the Israeli army's military intelligence service to assume responsibility for Iran, the army radio added Saturday, without giving further details.
Known by its Hebrew acronym AMAN, the military intelligence service, with an estimated 7,000 employees, is regarded as Mossad's chief rival.
Olmert's decision comes on the heels of a meeting with Mossad chief Meir Dagan, the hawkish political advisor to former prime ministers Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israeli media reported that Mossad's annual budget was doubled last year largely due to increased concerns over the Iranian nuclear program.
In recent months, US, Arab and Israeli newspapers have been rife with speculation about the likelihood of an American or Israeli attack against Iran's nuclear sites. American and Israeli officials have denied those reports.
In December, Dagan, 60, predicted Iran would be able to manufacture a nuclear bomb within one to two years.
Israeli fears of Iran were heightened after Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for Israel to be wiped off the map last October.
Mossad answers to a parliamentary sub-committee made up of members of the defense and foreign affairs committees in the Israeli legislature.
On June 7, 1981, Israeli war planes destroyed the Iraqi nuclear plant at Osirak, close to Baghdad.

While I consider this a perfect example of Israeli propaganda at one of its better moments and even have to admit at times a sadistic form of laughable because of them sending maybe their murderous junk yard dogs on Iran namely the Mossad. But what is ironic is Mossad’s budget doubled last year over increased concern about Iran when it is a proven fact that Israel is America’s biggest Welfare Mother. And having a meeting with anyone associated with the Mossad is like doing lunch with the Devil himself.
Without full public knowledge, Israel has chosen only to disclose the fact they got threats. Like any bully boy if you get a threat go smack the other kid in the head, before you really know they are going to hit first.
Not that there is any more to the Nuclear Program then just the fact that Iran needs better electric then many other countries namely, America and Israel. What makes it interesting some of the American/Israeli propaganda would have us believe that the nuclear program is rather new when in fact it has been in process for a few years now? Like as they wished to remark since 1981. Also, to find interesting, Israel and America both has nuclear bombs already.
Some ways I do enjoy propaganda because it likes to tell people what they think they wish to hear along with the smoke screen of what is really going on then on the other hand truth doesn’t always tell us what we wish to hear and there is no smoke screen to cloud our minds to point us into any particular direction other then for us to make up our own minds. Hence free thinkers or Not!
Also a point of note on most issues dealing with anything in the world each government has a file. No government walks around in the dark looking for the light switch.
