Bush, "Do As I Say, Not As I do!"

Unless You Plan to Be Drinking and Smoking More

September 4, 1976, near his family's summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, police arrested Bush for driving under the influence of alcohol, having been drinking with former Australian world number one tennis player John Newcombe and his former advisor Raphael Rosenast. He pled guilty, was fined $150, and had his driver's license suspended for 30 days within Maine. News of the arrest was published five days before the 2000 presidential election. Bush has described his days before his religious conversion in his 40s as his "nomadic" period of "irresponsible youth" and admitted to drinking "too much" in those years. He says he changed to a sober lifestyle shortly after waking up with a hangover after his 40th birthday celebration in July 1986, attributing the change partly to a "seed" planted by Reverend Billy Graham in 1985. A video of Bush drinking at a 1992 wedding was later released. Slurring his words, he criticized others for not drinking and smoking more.

Observation:

by Housewife4palestine

On Mr. Bush’s resent visit to Iraq, I happened to see the news video on that visit when he was talking to the American troops; while I listened to his speech I also looked deep into his facial features and especially around his mouth. What came to my attention was what appeared to be a person that has an alcoholism problem.

While I was questioning my eyes, a very dear friend came in and I asked if what I was seeing was correct. They did agree, what appeared to be a person with long term alcoholism.
