Al-Qassam Brigades launch two projectiles at invading Israeli military vehicles

Gaza - Ma'an - The Izzeddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has claimed responsibility on Wednesday for launching two home-made projectiles at a group of Israeli military vehicles in eastern Ash-Shuja'iyya in the northern Gaza Strip.

They affirmed that the operation comes as part of a "retaliation" battle which aims to block the Israeli invasion of Ash-Shuja'iyya and to retaliate for the frequent Israeli aggressions.

Occupation Army continues its attack on Gaza City: Al-Qassam intensifies resistance operations

Zionist Occupation Forces continue their aggression on the eastern sector of Gaza City for the fourth consecutive day. Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades continued to launch resistance operations against the attacking forces since the start of the aggression on August 27, 2006.

Today, August 30, 2006, Al-Qassam Brigades conducted 8 resistance operations against occupation forces east of Sheja'ia area in Gaza City. The operations targeted occupation army armored vehicles (tanks and bulldozers). During these operations, Al-Qassam mujahideen fired 4 rocket-propelled grenades, 2 Battar rockets, and 1 Yassin rocket at occupation army vehicles. In addition, the mujahideen detonated 3 anti-armor explosive devices against enemy vehicles.

The resistance operational summary for Wednesday (August 30, 2006) is:

- At 05:15, one rocket-propelled grenade was fired at an occupation army bulldozer east of Sheja'ia.

- At 05:43, two rocket-propelled grenade was fired at two occupation army bulldozers east of Sheja'ia.

- At 06:20, two anti-armor explosive devices were detonated against two occupation army tanks in Mansour Street east of Sheja'ia.

- At 16:00, one rocket-propelled grenade was fired at an occupation army tank in Mansour Street east of Sheja'ia.

- At 16:15, one Yassin rocket was fired at an occupation army bulldozer in Mansour Street east of Sheja'ia.

- At 17:05, two Battar rockets were fired at a group of occupation army vehicles east of Sheja'ia.

- At 19:00, an anti-armor explosive device was detonated against an occupation army bulldozer east of Sheja'ia.

- During the day, the mujahid Hamdi El-Banna was martyred after hitting an occupation army bulldozer with a Yassin rocket.
