Pat Robertson prays with Israeli leader

JERUSALEM Pat Robertson once suggested that Ariel Sharon's massive stroke was divine punishment for withdrawing from the Gaza Strip. That led Israel to suspend contact with the televangelist. But he was back today -- praying with Sharon's successor.

Robertson says he and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (EH'-hood OHL'-murt) joined hands during a 15-minute meeting and prayed for victory in Lebanon.

Later, Robertson told reporters he loves Israel, adding that the country "cannot lose this struggle." He says America's evangelical Christians "stand with Israel."
