IOF Used Internationally-Banned Weapons to Murder Palestinians

PA health official: Most Palestinian victims killed with internationally-banned IOF weapons

November 4, 2006

Gaza - Director of the emergency department in the PA health ministry Dr. Muawya Abu Hasanien has affirmed that most of the Palestinian fatalities in Gaza Strip were killed with internationally-prohibited weapons used by the IOF troops.

Hasanien further added that toll of the martyred Palestinians increased to 43, and figure of the wounded Palestinians rose to more than 200 as IOF troops expanded their brutal operations to the West Bank.

On Friday only, 21 Palestinians were killed including members of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PA health official affirmed that the IOF troops were using a new weapon against the Palestinians that is land-to-land missiles.

As a result, Hasanien appealed for international help to provide medical supplies and medicines to save lives of the wounded Palestinians, affirming that his ministry ran out of its strategic stock of medicine and medical supplies, warning that a human catastrophe is looming in the Strip if those needed supplies weren’t immediately made available.

IOF troops in Beit Hanun city were deliberately blocking PRCS workers from carrying out their noble mission in saving the wounded Palestinians with the aim to inflict as many Palestinian casualties as they could.

Palestinian health workers and rescuers Saturday managed to take out the body of Palestinian citizen Marwan Abu Harbied, 46, from under the rubble of his house after IOF troops demolished it over his head.
