Actually, Mullins, I was born in the Phillipine Islands, and have lived all over the world. I read her profile and it doesn't reveal much other than that the blogger is a Palestinian mother of 6, happily married, is a Muslim and was born a refugee. I don't have enough time to play catch up and read all the archived blogs, so i thought asking those questions would be easier. My mistake. My question,to HW4P was a means of trying to understand her history. As for being afraid to reveal myself: I'm going to be very honest here, and maybe you will get some insight into how many westerners feel. Wrong or right. When we see so much violence and strife associated with a particular religion, it is difficult to not associate it with all those who believe in that religion. So yes, it makes us afraid to say anything that might ruffle their feathers or offend them and then, possibly have to endure some form of retaliation.
I am a college educated, artist so consider myself somewhat progressive and inclusive. I attribute that to having lived abroad as a child and young adult. I believe there are many paths to GOD, and that it is wrong to force anyone to believe a certain way. I abhor violence in any way, shape or form and so I am trying to understand why the Islamic faith places so much emphasis on violence as a means to gain peace. I wonder what peace for Palestine means to Palestinians? Why can't they live in harmony?
that's all.
I too pray for peace, but for all mankind just one select group of people. I pray for all those consumed with hatred. I pray that their hearts embrace love and not hate.
I'll sign with my name. Does that make it better?

Jessica,

By asking the location of my family, you put them in danger of being murdered, while you lack diplomacy you have the audacity to call us violent people and our religion one of violence when we are the people being slaughtered and yes, we are attempting to fight the complete innillation of us as a people.

Peace for us as Palestinians or anyone is the same I would hope for the rest of the world. To go even further to say, that we believe in absolute global peace; where no one hungers or wants for anything.

Those that are consumed with hatred are not the majority of us, as I would hope the West is like also, we are saddened that anyone would invade our countries, rob us and attempt to murder any of us.

We as a whole have never retaliated, in any manner; to the contrary, we wish justice and peace for that which is being done to us.

Further, more we have never forced anyone to become a Muslim; it is by his or her choice.

You say you are a educated person, I am sorry to say you need a little education in what is really going on not only in the world, but before you make remarks to a people you need to learn something about them other then accuse anyone of violence nor insult them in any manner.

Finally, Palestine was a country of peace and harmony before we where invaded by the Zionist. The same with Afghanistan and Iraq by the United States for example.

If you bothered to watch the video you were posting under, you would have a basic idea what is happening to us.

I am sorry you had to insult me, to think this was a way to get your point across.

Something for you to think about, their has been cases in Afghanistan, where civilians have had their fingers cut off and they then was pulled apart by two tanks. Whom you think did it? The Americans!

Have a good day.
