Palestinian Cabinet says West Bank and Gaza Strip are United
Ramallah – Ma'an - The Palestinian Cabinet on Monday rejected the Israeli decision to declare the Gaza Strip an "enemy entity," stressing the unity of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The Cabinet reiterated its position that the people of Gaza should not suffer because of the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip in June this year.
President Mahmoud Abbas is currently in New York drumming up international support to force Israel to back down from the resolution, which violates international law.
Abbas will alert the international community and the Middle East Quartet to the danger of the Israeli decision and its consequences for the Palestinian citizens of the Gaza Strip.
