Caspian Sea States Summit Concludes its Work in Tehran
Tehran-The Second Summit of the Caspian Sea Littoral States ended its work after holding a joint press conference in the presence of heads of state of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan Republic, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.
Four presidents of the littoral states attending the event took part in the luncheon given in their honor by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as chairman of the summit.
Late President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov proposed the idea of holding the first official summit of the Caspian Sea littoral states, which was held in Ashkhabad in May 2002.
