A subliminal message is a signal or message embedded in another object, designed to pass below the normal limits of perception. These messages are indiscernible by the conscious mind, but allegedly affect the subconscious or deeper mind. Subliminal techniques have occasionally been used in advertising and propaganda; the purpose, effectiveness and frequency of such techniques are debated.

These messages can be projected in several types of manner’s from different television programs especially those more popular to the consumer often seen through your television, the type of music Cd’s you listen to or music video’s such has those with more hard-line type of Rap and Hip & Hop for example.

It is possible, through these types of message’s to create a brainwashing effect, as well as a mode of hypnotizing a person to follow what the message is telling them; this is why it is a great tool in advertising and propaganda.

These types of messages, where used as far back as WW2 in troop training.
