I Saw It In The News?

If one picks-up a newspaper at their favorite stand or turns on their television, even just in channel surfing mode; one will see and not by chance, articles and images of different things that are either not occurring, pointing fingers in the wrong direction of perpetrators of violence or just make believe of an internal war, too other things occurring for instance; such as the non-existent Gaza Siege.

To put this in a further perspective, the US in their collaboration hand-holding with the Canaanites does this to create non-existent falsifications or just flat out lie to hide or commit crimes.

One very good example of this, is when the now past war was occurring, a very nice, extremely soft-spoken Sheikh I knew from the time I was a very little girl; in later years was murdered. Now one may ask, who did it or point a wrong finger; because of what they may have read in the US media and blanketed about the globe.

Now in those days if one would have opened their newspaper or by hand turned on their television, his death would have been reported by the US media; saying the Jews killed him and many without question in falsehood probably would have went along with it, not knowing in actuality of how many men, women and children where actually being murdered by the Canaanites; such as the Sheikh I just mentioned previously and one may ask why was this being done, in the most probable reason, the US in collaboration with the Canaanites to cover-up the real facts of the matter- US/ Canaanite genocide and war against Jews and Muslims not just within the country, but globally.

Even today, while the US brow beats and murders Jews and Muslims; does one in actuality hear the truth about the Canaanites in the US media or is the blame still being put on the Jews and Muslims in the world?

As one may further ask of when this collaboration did begin, to this writer’s knowledge it became a more organized situation about 1964. While the Canaanites may call themselves the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Army), the Palestinian Authority (the US/Canaanite Coup in an attempt to overthrow the countries government to allegedly being established about 1994 and was about the time peace negoitations of the previous war where occuring between HRM Zaytuna and Jewish Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin; who where later both assassinated in 1995) or Fatah; one need’s to remember, they are the same people with the same US/ Canaanite ideals.

'Go America Go'

While the above picture of just 'Go Taliban Go' appeared splashed all over the US media propaganda as an anti-Taliban rally was not so, but to the contrary; what has became much more prominent in Pakistan and across the globe is the ever increasing feeling of anti-US or just plain anti-America due to most people having had enough of oppressive mistreatment and outright cruelty by the US government.

Even now, after the US lied to the American public and assured across the globe with their media propaganda on this situation it stands to define of how far the US will go in their barbaric pressure and heavy hammer upon the whole of the world; that nothing is below of what they will proceed to do against the feelings of the countries they continue to attack.

Neither country, home nor family is safe globally; from the American arrogance, to even go so far as to destroy the US itself in every facet possible, with ill-regard or full destruction of their own country including the welfare of all American citizens to do so.

Further goes to show, even with the recent US attack and continued genocide of Iraqi civilians which occurred very recently; which is being once again high condemned, by the Iraqi government or the US bombing that just occurred as of yesterday evening, that has murdered upward to 120 Afghan civilians.

Which with the very recent US media propaganda that the US is on a mission from "God" to commit murder, especially with the recent attack in Afghanistan; it should be understood that Allah (Hashem, God) does not condone homicidal murder of other's, for any reason or has the US forgotten where Allah (Hashem, God) specified saying, "You shall not kill (Exodus 20:13)."

As a response, " (US) Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the Obama administration "deeply, deeply" regrets the loss of innocent life apparently as the result of a U.S. bombing in Afghanistan and will undertake a full review of the incident;" the sentiment while it is not believed, it will not bring back the over whelming amount of Jewish and Muslim martyrs the US has created in the last hundred and nine years or even yesterday caused by their hands alone.

As the US media propaganda dictates their view’s in the media, one can always be assured that it is better not to listen or read; but look towards the real truth of the matter.-HRM Deborah

"Pay the Bonus"

“Keep the Home Fires Burning;" is the song under the photograph, which was a propaganda tune from World War 1. If one also notices the upper part of the newspaper article header, one will also see that the harshness of segregation or racism between white and black American’s was still being enforced during this time period.

The Bonus March on Washington

The self-named Bonus Expeditionary Force was an assemblage of some 43,000 marchers — 17,000 World War I veterans, their families, and affiliated groups, who protested in Washington, D.C., in spring and summer of 1932. Called the Bonus March by the news media, the Bonus Marchers were more popularly known as the Bonus Army. The war veterans sought immediate cash payment of Service Certificates granted to them eight years earlier via the Adjusted Service Certificate Law of 1924. Each Service Certificate, issued to a qualified veteran soldier, bore a face value equal to the soldier's promised payment, plus compound interest. The problem was that the certificates (like bonds), matured twenty years from the date of original issuance, thus, under extant law, the Service Certificates were un-redeemable until 1945.

The Bonus Army was led by Walter W. Waters, a former Army sergeant, and was encouraged in their demand for immediate cash-payment redemption of their service certificates by retired U.S.M.C. Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler, one of the most popular military figures of the time.

In 1924, over-riding President Calvin Coolidge's veto, Congress legislated compensation for veterans to recognize their war-time suffering: receive a dollar for each day of domestic service, to a maximum of $500; and $1.25 for each day of overseas service, to a maximum of $625. Amounts owed of $50 or less were immediately paid; greater sums were issued as certificates of service maturing in 20 years.

Some 3,662,374 military service certificates were issued, with a face value of $3.638 billion. Congress established a trust fund to receive 20 annual payments of $112 million that, with interest, would finance the $3.638 billion dollars owed to the veterans in 1945. Meanwhile, veterans could borrow up to 22.5% of the certificate's face value from the fund. In 1931, because of the Great Depression, Congress increased the loan value to 50 per cent of the certificate's face value; yet, by April 1932, loans amounting to $1.248 billion dollars had been paid, leaving a $2.36-billion-dollar deficit. Although there was Congressional support for the immediate redemption (payment) of the military service certificates, President Hoover and Republican congressmen opposed that, because it would negatively affect the Federal Government's budget and Depression-relief programs. Meanwhile, veterans organizations pressed the Federal Government to allow the early redemption of their military service certificates.

Evalyn Walsh McLean was the wife of the owner of the Washington Post and a pillar of Washington Society. She describes the scene as the Bonus Army first entered Washington and marched past her elegant mansion:

On a day in June, 1932, I saw a dusty automobile truck roll slowly past my house. I saw the unshaven, tired faces of the men who were riding in it standing up. A few were seated at the rear with their legs dangling over the lowered tailboard. On the side of the truck was an expanse of white cloth on which, crudely lettered in black, was a legend, BONUS ARMY.

Other trucks followed in a straggling succession, and. on the sidewalks of Massachusetts Avenue where stroll most of the diplomats and the other fashionables of Washington were some ragged hikers, wearing scraps of old uniforms. The sticks with which they strode along seemed less canes than cudgels. They were not a friendly-looking lot, and I learned they were hiking and riding into the capital along each of its radial avenues; that they had come from every part of the continent. It was not lost on me that those men, passing anyone of my big houses, would see in such rich shelters a kind of challenge.

I was burning, because I felt that crowd of men, women, and children never should have been permitted to swarm across the continent. But I could remember when those same men, with others, had been cheered as they marched down Pennsylvania Avenue. While I recalled those wartime parades, I was reading in the newspapers that the bonus army men were going hungry in Washington.

That night I woke up before I had been asleep an hour. I got to thinking about those poor devils marching around the capital. Then I decided that it should be a part of my son Jock's education to see and try to comprehend that marching. It was one o'clock, and the Capitol was beautifully lighted. I wished then for the power to turn off the lights and use the money thereby saved to feed the hungry.

When Jock and I rode among the bivouacked men I was horrified to see plain evidence of hunger in their faces; I heard them trying to cadge cigarettes from one another. Some were lying on the sidewalks, unkempt heads pillowed on their arms. A few clusters were shuffling around. I went up to one of them, a fellow with eyes deeply sunken in his head.

'Have you eaten?' He shook his head.

Just then I saw General Glassford, superintendent of the Washington police. He said, 'I'm going to get some coffee for them.'

'All right,' I said, 'I am going to Childs'.'

It was two o'clock when I walked into that white restaurant. A man came up to take my order. 'Do you serve sandwiches? I want a thousand," I said. "And a thousand packages of cigarettes.'

'But, lady - '

'I want them right away. I haven't got a nickel with me, but you can trust me. I am Mrs. McLean.'

Well, he called the manager into the conference, and before long they were slicing bread with a machine; and what with Glassford's coffee also (he was spending his own money) we two fed all the hungry ones who were in sight.

...One day Waters, the so-called commander, came to my house and said: 'I'm desperate. Unless these men are fed, I can't say what won't happen to this town.' With him was his wife, a little ninety-three-pounder, dressed as a man, her legs and feet in shiny boots. Her yellow hair was freshly marceled.

'She's been on the road for days,' said Waters, 'and has just arrived by bus.'

I thought a bath would be a welcome change; so I took her upstairs to that guest bedroom my father had designed for King Leopold. I sent for my maid to draw a bath, and told the young woman to lie down.

'You get undressed,' I said, 'and while you sleep I'll have all your things cleaned and pressed.'

'Oh, no,' she said, 'not me. I'm not giving these clothes up. I might never see them again.'

Her lip was out, and so I did not argue. She threw herself down on the bed, boots and all, and I tiptoed out.

That night I telephoned to Vice-President Charlie Curtis. I told him I was speaking for Waters, who was standing by my chair. I said: 'These men are in a desperate situation, and unless something is done for them, unless they are fed, there is bound to be a lot of trouble. They have no money, nor any food.'

Charlie Curtis told me that he was calling a secret meeting of senators and would send a delegation of them to the House to urge immediate action on the Howell bill, providing money to send the bonus army members back to their homes."

Arrival in Washington

The Bonus Army massed at the United States Capitol on June 17 as the U.S. Senate voted on the Patman Bonus Bill, which would have moved forward the date when World War I veterans received a cash bonus. Most of the Bonus Army camped in a Hooverville (transit or homeless Camps named after US President Herbert Hoover, well-known during the 1930’s Great Depression) on the Anacostia Flats, then a swampy, muddy area across the Anacostia River from the federal core of Washington. The camps, built from materials scavenged from a nearby rubbish dump, were tightly controlled by the veterans with streets laid out, sanitation facilities built and parades held daily. To live in the camps, veterans were required to register and prove they had been honorably discharged. The protesters had hoped that they could convince Congress to make payments that would be granted to veterans immediately, which would have provided relief for the marchers who were unemployed due to the Depression. The bill had passed the House of Representatives on June 15 but was blocked in the Senate.

The U.S. Army intervenes

On 28 July, 1932, Attorney General Mitchell ordered the police evacuation of the Bonus Army veterans, who resisted; the police shot at them, and killed two. When told of the killings, President Hoover ordered the U.S. Army to effect the evacuation of the Bonus Army from Washington, D.C.

At 4:45 p.m., commanded by Gen. Douglas MacArthur, the 12th Infantry Regiment, Fort Howard, Maryland, and the 3rd Cavalry Regiment, supported by six battle tanks commanded by Maj. George S. Patton, Fort Myer, Virginia, formed in Pennsylvania Avenue while thousands of Civil Service employees left work to line the street and watch the U.S. Army attack its own veterans. The Bonus Marchers, believing the display was in their honour, cheered the troops until Maj. Patton charged the cavalry against them — an action which prompted the Civil Service employee spectators to yell, "Shame! Shame!"

After the cavalry charge, infantry, with fixed bayonets and adamsite gas, entered the Bonus Army camps, evicting veterans, families, and camp followers. The veterans fled across the Anacostia River, to their largest camp; President Hoover ordered the Army assault stopped, however, Gen. MacArthur—feeling this free-speech exercise was a Communist attempt at overthrowing the U.S. Government—ignored the President and ordered a new attack. Hundreds of veterans were injured, several were killed — including William Hushka and Eric Carlson; a veteran's wife miscarried; and many other veterans were hurt.

The Posse Comitatus Act — forbidding civilian police work by the U.S. military — did not apply to Washington, D.C., because it is the federal district directly governed by the U.S. Congress (U.S. Constitution, Article I. Section 8. Clause 17). The exemption was created because of an earlier "Bonus March". In 1781, most of the Continental Army was demobilized without pay, two years later, in 1783, hundreds of Pennsylvania war veterans marched on Philadelphia, surrounded the State House wherein Congress was in session, and demanded their pay. The U.S. Congress fled to Princeton, New Jersey, and, several weeks later, the U.S. Army expelled the war veterans back to home, out of the national capital.

An infant, Bernard Myers, later died in the hospital after the incident but reports indicated the death was not caused by the evacuation of the BEF.

Casualties and Losses

All told their where 4 dead and as many as 1,017 marchers and family injured, with at least 69 police injured.

Aftermath

Following his election, US President Franklin D. Roosevelt did not want to pay the bonus early either, but handled the veterans with more skill. In March 1933, Roosevelt issued an executive order allowing the enrollment of 25,000 veterans in the Civilian Conservation Corps for work in forests. When they marched on Washington again in May 1933, he sent his wife Eleanor to chat with the vets and pour coffee with them, and she persuaded many of them to sign up for jobs making a roadway to the Florida Keys, which was to become the Overseas Highway, the southernmost portion of U.S. Route 1. On September 2, the disastrous Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 killed 258 veterans working on the Highway. After seeing more newsreels of veterans giving their lives for a government that had taken them for granted, public sentiment built up so much that Congress could no longer afford to ignore it in an election year (1936). Roosevelt's veto was overridden, making the bonus a reality.

The Justified Shoe Throwing Heard Around the World

Iraq shoe thrower jailed for three years

Muntazer al-Zeidi, a 30-year-old Al-Baghdadiya television reporter who threw his shoes at former US president George W. Bush, making him a hero across the Arab world, was on Thursday sentenced unjustly to three years in jail; after the US government forced the Iraqi judicial system to find al-Zeidi guilty of assault.

Al-Zeidi, threw the shoes in anguish of not just Bush; but the devastation, illegal occupation and genocide that has been continuously being done to his country, by the US.

Which it has been almost six years, since the US illegally invaded Iraq; while the invasion had nothing to do with what occurred as the result of 9/11, but to the contrary; what Bush did was tell a very huge lie to not just the American populace to rally around him; but towards the global community and what actually was the true reason was nothing more then Islamophobia.

With the forgoing same conclusion, occurring also in Afghanistan and not what keeps being the broadcasted bombardment across the whole US media propaganda dung heap.

Since US President Barack Obama has taken office, regardless of what is being awkwardly published in the media propaganda; he too continues this madness not just towards these two countries; but the whole of the Islamic and Jewish world, at the cost of not just devastating the US economy into implosion, but further attempts to devastate towards the global economy as well; with even his continued obstinacy of trying to express to the global community of the stability of the US, as it plunges deeper into a sphere of a fourth world economically.

Whether one read's it, see's it or hears it in the ears, it is still propaganda and a lie to persuade a wrongful reaction; against what is reality.

US Forces Still Murdering Afghan Civilians

While US-led coalition forces said they killed 15 ‘armed militants’ in eastern Afghanistan, but local legislators say the casualties were civilians including women and children.

Meanwhile, President Hamid Karzai condemned a U.S. operation he said killed 16 Afghan civilians, while the hundreds of villagers denounced the American military during the angry demonstration on Sunday.

As the US media propaganda, exaggerates claims of what is going on in Afghanistan to justify there contention and to reinforce there allegations of more troops within the country.

The death toll towards civilians not just in Afghanistan, but also neighboring Pakistan by the same means is staggering.

This goes along with the US self-imposed, instigated war not just against the Islamic Ummah; but the Jewish community as well, which can be seen by activities perpetrated against these two religious groups.

THE PRESIDENT: John, thank you very much. I thought for a minute you were going to say I was your favorite rabbi, but -- (laughter.)

I appreciate you giving me a chance to come. I, too, want to thank Mr. Saban for his vision and for sponsoring this forum. I am honored to be with you. Madam Secretary, thank you for joining us. Justice Breyer, I am pleased to see you yet again. I thank Ambassador Indyk. Minister Mofaz, it's good to see you, sir, and I appreciate you being here for this Forum

I want to thank the members of Congress who have joined us, members of the diplomatic corps, and of course, the distinguished guests.

The Saban Forum is one of the world's premier venues for discussion on the Middle East. I thank you for the debate you provoke, and the differences you have made. And I'm honored to be with you.

Over the past eight years, I have had the privilege to see the Middle East up close. I have stood on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, and I've hiked the cliffs of Masada. I've enjoyed dinner in the desert of Abu Dhabi, and prayed at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. I have looked into the eyes of courageous elected leaders from Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories. I have been convinced that no region is more fundamental to the security of America or the peace in the world than the Middle East.

This evening, I'll share some thoughts on our policies in the region these past eight years, and our vision for the future -- a Middle East where our friends are strengthened and the extremists are discredited, where economies are open and prosperity is widespread, and where all people enjoy the life of liberty that is the universal gift of an Almighty God.

From our earliest days as a nation, the Middle East has played a central role in American foreign policy. One of America's first military engagements as an independent nation was with the Barbary pirates. One of our first consulates was in Tangiers. Some of the most fateful choices made by American Presidents have involved the Middle East -- including President Truman's decision to recognize Israel 60 years ago this past May.

In the decades that followed that brave choice, American policy in the Middle East was shaped by the realities of the Cold War. Together with strong allies in the Middle East, we faced down and defeated the threat of communism to the region. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the primary threat to America and the region became violent religious extremism. Through painful experience, it became clear that the old approach of promoting stability is unsuited to this new danger -- and that the pursuit of security at the expense of liberty would leave us with neither one. Across the Middle East, many who sought a voice in the future of their countries found the only places open to dissent were radical mosques. Many turned to terror as a source of empowerment. And as a new century dawned, the violent currents swirling beneath the Middle East began to surface.

In the Holy Land, the dashed expectations resulting from the collapse of the Camp David peace talks had given way to the second intifada. Palestinian suicide bombers struck with horrific frequency and lethality. They murdered innocent Israelis at a pizza parlor, or aboard buses, or in the middle of a Passover Seder. Israeli Defense Forces responded with large-scale operations. And in 2001, more than 500 Israelis and Palestinians were killed.

Politically, the Palestinian Authority was led by a terrorist who stole from his people and walked away from peace. In Israel, Ariel Sharon was elected to fight terror and pursue a "Greater Israel" policy that allowed for no territorial concessions. Neither side could envision a return to negotiations or the realistic possibility of a two-state solution.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, Saddam Hussein had begun his third decade as the dictator of Iraq -- a reign that included invading two neighbors, developing and using weapons of mass destruction, attempting to exterminate Marsh Arabs and many Kurds, paying the families of suicide bombers, systematically violating U.N. resolutions, and firing routinely at British and U.S. aircraft patrolling a no-fly zone.

Syria continued its occupation of Lebanon, with some 30,000 troops on Lebanese soil. Libya sponsored terror and pursued weapons of mass destruction. And in Iran, the prospect of reform was fading, the regime's sponsorship of terror continued, and its pursuit of nuclear weapons was largely unchecked.

Throughout the region, suffering and stagnation were rampant. The Arab Human Development Report revealed a bleak picture of high unemployment, poor education, high mortality rates for mothers, and almost no investment in technology. Above all, the Middle East suffered a deep deficit in freedom. Most people had no choice and no voice in choosing their leaders. Women enjoyed few rights. And there was little conversation about democratic change.

Against this backdrop, the terrorist movement was growing in strength and in ambition. Three decades, violent radicals had landed painful blows against America -- the Iranian hostage crisis, the attacks on our embassy and Marine barracks in Beirut, the destruction of Pan Am Flight 103, the truck bombing of the World Trade Center, the attack on Khobar Towers, the bombing of our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and the strike on the USS Cole.

And then came September the 11th, 2001, when 19 men from the Middle East carried out the worst attack on the United States since the strike on Pearl Harbor 67 years ago this weekend. In the space of a single morning, 9/11 etched a sharp dividing line in our history. We realized that we're in a struggle with fanatics pledged to our destruction. We saw that conditions of repression and despair on the other side of the world could bring suffering and death to our own streets.

With these new realities in mind, America reshaped our approach to the Middle East. We made clear that we will defend our friends, our interests, and our people against any hostile attempt to dominate the Middle East -- whether by terror, blackmail, or the pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. We have carried out this new strategy by following three overriding principles.

First, we took the offense against the terrorists overseas. We are waging a relentless campaign to break up extremist networks and deny them safe havens. As part of that offensive, we pledged to strengthen our partnership with every nation that joins in the fight against terror. We deepened our security cooperation with allies like Jordan and Egypt, and with our friends in the Gulf. Saudi Arabia, long a breeding ground for radicalism, has become a determined partner in the fight against terror -- killing or capturing hundreds of al Qaeda operatives in the Kingdom. We dramatically expanded counterterrorism ties with partners in North Africa. And we left no doubt that America would stand by our closest ally in the Middle East -- the state of Israel. (Applause.)

Second, we made clear that hostile regimes must end their support for terror and their pursuit of weapons of mass destruction, or face the concerted opposition of the world.

This was the approach we took in Iraq. It is true, as I've said many times, that Saddam Hussein was not connected to the 9/11 attacks. But the decision to remove Saddam from power cannot be viewed in isolation from 9/11. In a world where terrorists armed with box cutters had just killed nearly 3,000 of our people, America had to decide whether we could tolerate a sworn enemy that acted belligerently, that supported terror, and that intelligence agencies around the world believed had weapons of mass destruction.

It was clear to me, it was clear to members of both political parties, and to many leaders around the world that after 9/11, that was a risk we could not afford to take. So we went back to the United Nations Security Council, which unanimously passed Resolution 1441 calling on Saddam Hussein to disclose, disarm, or face serious consequences. With this resolution, we offered Saddam Hussein a final chance to comply with the demands of the world. And when he refused to resolve the issue peacefully, we acted with a coalition of nations to protect our people and liberated 25 million Iraqis.

When Saddam regimes -- regimes fell -- when Saddam's regime fell, we refused to take the easy option and install a friendly strongman in his place. Even though it required enormous sacrifice, we stood by the Iraqi people as they elected their own leaders and built a young democracy. When the violence reached its most dire point, pressure to withdraw reached its height. Yet failure in Iraq would have unleashed chaos, widened the violence, and allowed the terrorists to gain a new safe haven -- a fundamental contradiction to our vision for the Middle East.

So we adopted a new strategy, and deployed more troops to secure the Iraqi people. When the surge met its objective, we began to bring our troops home under the policy of return on success. Yesterday, building on the gains made by the surge, the democratic government of Iraq approved two agreements with the United States that formalize our diplomatic, economic, and security ties and set a framework for the drawdown of American forces as the fight in Iraq nears its successful end.

After 9/11, we also confronted Libya over its weapons of mass destruction. The leader of Libya made a wise choice. In 2003, Colonel Ghadafi announced that he would abandon his weapons of mass destruction program. He concluded that the interests of his people would be best served by improving relations with America, and Libya turned over its nuclear centrifuges and other deadly equipment to the United States.

The defeat of Saddam also appears to have changed the calculation of Iran. According to our intelligence community, the regime in Tehran had started a nuclear weapons program in the late-1980s, and they halted a key part of that program in 2003. America recognized that the most effective way to pursue -- persuade Iran to remove its nuclear weapons -- renounce its nuclear weapons ambitions was to have partners at our side, so we supported an international effort led by our allies in Europe. This diplomacy yielded an encouraging result, when Iran agreed to suspend its uranium enrichment.

Sadly, after the election of President Ahmadinejad, Iran reversed course and announced it would begin enriching again. Since then, we've imposed tough sanctions through United Nations resolutions. We and our partners have offered Iran diplomatic and economic incentives to suspend enrichment. We have promised to support a peaceful civilian nuclear program. While Iran has not accepted these offers, we have made our bottom line clear: For the safety of our people and the peace of the world, America will not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon.

Third, America identified the lack of freedom in the Middle East as a principal cause of the threats coming from the region. We concluded that if the region continued on the path it was headed -- if another generation grew up with no hope for the future, and no outlet to express its views -- the Middle East would continue to simmer in resentment and export violence.

To stop this from happening, we resolved to help the region steer itself toward a better course of freedom and dignity and hope. We're engaged in a battle with the extremists that is broader than a military conflict, and broader than a law enforcement operation. We are engaged in an ideological struggle. And to advance our security interests and moral interests, America is working to advance freedom and democracy as the great alternatives to repression and terror.

As part of this effort, we're pressing nations across the region -- including our friends -- to trust their people with greater freedom of speech, and worship, and assembly. We're giving strong support to young democracies. We're standing with reformers, and dissidents, and human rights activists across the region. Through new efforts like the Middle East Peace Partnership Initiative and the Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiative, we're supporting the rise of vibrant civil societies.

We're also advancing a broader vision that includes economic prosperity, quality health care and education, and women's rights. We've negotiated new free trade agreements in the region, supported Saudi Arabia's accession to the World Trade Organization, and proposed a new Middle East Free Trade Area. We have signed Millennium Challenge agreements with Jordan and Morocco to grant American assistance in return for anti-corruption measures, free market policies, and investments in health and education. We're training Middle Eastern schoolteachers, translating children school books into Arabic, and helping young people get visas to study here in the United States.

We're encouraging Middle Eastern women to get involved in politics, and to start their own businesses, and take charge of their health through wise practices like breast cancer screening. Efforts like these extend hope to the corners of despair, and in this work we have had a lot of help, but no finer ambassador of goodwill than my wife, Laura Bush. (Applause.)

Finally, to advance all the principles that I've outlined -- supporting our friends, and pressuring our adversaries, and extending freedom -- America has launched a sustained initiative to help bring peace to the Holy Land. At the heart of this effort is the vision of two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security. I was the first American President to call for a Palestinian state, and support -- and build support for the two-state solution has been a top priority of my administration.

To earn the trust of Israeli leaders, we made it clear that no Palestinian state would be born of terror, we backed Prime Minister Sharon's courageous withdrawal from Gaza, and we supported his decision to build a security fence, not as a political border but to protect the people from terror.

To help the Palestinian people achieve the state they deserve, we insisted on Palestinian leadership that rejects terror and recognizes Israel's right to exist. Now that this leadership has emerged, we're strongly supporting its efforts to build institutions of a vibrant democratic state.

With good advice from leaders like Former Prime Minister Tony Blair and Generals Jones, Dayton, Fraser, and Selva, the Palestinians are making progress toward capable security forces, a functioning legal system, government ministries that deliver services without corruption, and a market economy. In all our efforts to promote a two-state solution, we have included Arab leaders from across the region, because we fully understand that their support will be essential for the creation of a state and lasting peace.

Last fall at Annapolis, Israeli, Palestinian, and Arab leaders came together at an historic summit. President Abbas and Prime Minister Olmert agreed to launch direct negotiations on a peace agreement. Nations around the globe, including many in the Arab world, pledged to support them. The negotiations since Annapolis have been determined and substantial. Secretary Rice has encouraged both sides by hosting a series of trilateral meetings. And while the Israelis and Palestinians have not yet produced an agreement, they have made important progress. As they stated to the Quartet, they have laid a new foundation of trust for the future.

On this issue -- and on our overall approach to the Middle East these past eight years -- America has been ambitious in vision, we have been bold in action, and we have been firm in purpose. Not every decision I've made has been popular, but popularity was never our aim. Our aim was to help a troubled region take the difficult first steps on the long journey to freedom and prosperity and hope. Some have called this idealistic, and no doubt it is. Yet it is the only practical way to help the people of the Middle East realize the dignity and justice they deserve. And it is the only practical way to protect the United States of America in the long term.

As with any large undertaking, these efforts have not always gone according to plan, and in some areas we've fallen short of our hopes. For example, the fight in Iraq has been longer and more costly than expected. The reluctance of entrenched regimes to open their political systems has been disappointing. There have been unfortunate setbacks at key points in the peace process -- including the illness suffered by Prime Minister Sharon, the Hamas victory in the Palestinian elections, and the terrorist takeover of Gaza.

Despite these frustrations and disappointments, the Middle East in 2008 is a freer, more hopeful, and more promising place than it was in 2001:

For the first time in nearly three decades, the people of Lebanon are free from Syria's military occupation. Libya's nuclear weapons equipment is locked away in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Places like the UAE and Bahrain are emerging as centers of commerce. The region -- the regime in Iran is facing greater pressure from the international community than ever before. Terrorist organizations like al Qaeda have failed decisively in their attempts to take over nations. They're increasingly facing ideological rejection in the Arab world.

Iraq has gone from an enemy of America to a friend of America, from sponsoring terror to fighting terror, and from a brutal dictatorship to a multi-religious, multi-ethnic constitutional democracy. Instead of the Iraq we would see if a Saddam Hussein were in power -- an aggressive regime vastly enriched by oil, defying the United Nations, bullying its Arab neighbors, threatening Israel, and pursuing a nuclear arms race with Iran -- we see an Iraq emerging peacefully with its neighbors, welcoming Arab ambassadors back to Baghdad, and showing the Middle East a powerful example of a moderate, prosperous, free nation.

The most vexing problem in the region -- the Israeli-Palestinian conflict -- there is now greater international consensus that at any point in modern memory. Israelis, Palestinians, and Arabs recognize the creation of a peaceful, democratic Palestinian state is in their interests. And through the Annapolis process, they started down a path that will end with two states living side by side in peace.

In fits and starts, political and economic reforms are advancing across the Middle East. Women have run for office in several nations and been named to important government positions in Bahrain and Oman and Qatar, the UAE and Yemen. Trade and foreign investment have expanded. Several nations have opened up private universities, and Internet use has risen sharply. Across the region, conversations about freedom and reform are growing louder. Expectations about government responsiveness are rising. And people are defying the condescending view that the culture of the Middle East is unfit for freedom.

There are still serious challenges facing the Middle East. Iran and Syria continue to sponsor terror. Iran's uranium enrichment remains a major threat to peace. Many in the region still live under oppression. Yet the changes of the past eight years herald the beginning of something historic and new. At long last, the Middle East is closing a chapter of darkness and fear, and opening a new one written in the language of possibility and hope. For the first time in generations, the region represents something more than a set of problems to be solved, or the site of energy resources to be developed. A free and peaceful Middle East will represent a source of promise, and home of opportunity, and a vital contributor to the prosperity of the world.

Those who ask what this future will look like need only look around. We see the new story of the Middle East in Iraqis waving ink-stained fingers, with Lebanese taking to streets in the Cedar Revolution. We see it in women taking their seats in elected parliaments, and bloggers telling the world their dreams. We see it in the skyscrapers rising above Abu Dhabi, and living --thriving Middle Eastern businesses that are now connected to the global economy. We see it in a Saudi king sponsoring an interfaith dialogue, Palestinian reformers fighting corruption and terror, and Israelis who love their ancient land, but want to live in peace.

These are striking images, and they do point the way to a brighter future. I believe the day will come when the map of the Middle East shows a peaceful, secure Israel beside a peaceful and democratic Palestine. I believe the day will come when people from Cairo and Riyadh to Baghdad and Beirut, to Damascus and Tehran, live in free and independent societies, bound together by the ties of diplomacy and tourism and trade. The day will come when al Qaeda and Hezbollah and Hamas are marginalized and then wither away, as Muslims across the region realize the emptiness of the terrorists' vision and the injustice of their cause.

Earlier this year, I laid out this vision in my address to the Israeli Knesset, and then in my address to the World Economic Forum in Egypt. It was not a Jewish vision, or an Arab vision, or an American vision. It is a universal vision. It unites all who yearn for freedom and peace in the Middle East. And if we lead, and if we persevere, and if we keep faith in our ideals, that vision will become a reality someday.

NICOSIA – A dozen European politicians, most of them British, plan to travel aboard the next ship sailing from Cyprus to breach the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip, organisers told AFP Wednesday.

After completing a second successful attempt last week, peace activists will ferry the politicians to the Islamist-ruled territory on Friday to assess the humanitarian crisis there.

Parliamentarians from Italy, Switzerland and Ireland will also be on board.

The 20-foot "Dignity" is set to depart the southern port of Larnaca and would also carry more medical supplies and equipment.

The movement is organising the trip because it said Egypt refused access to Gaza across its border to 53 international parliamentarians.

"Egypt did not allow us to enter Gaza via the Rafah terminal, but this will not stop us from visiting the area. We shall break the siege," said Lord Nazir Ahmad, head of the delegation.

British MP Clare Short, a former minister for international development, said "the Egyptian refusal to grant us access through Rafah crossing is insulting to all of us, and Egypt should open the crossing now."

The politicians will visit hospitals and deliver a tonne of medical supplies.

They also plan to meet with some of the 700 students who have been denied the right to leave Gaza and study at universities that have accepted them.

This voyage will be the third such trip to Gaza in as many months to protest against the Israeli sanctions imposed after the Islamist Hamas movement seized power there in June 2007.

Free Gaza first made the crossing in August to highlight the plight of the impoverished territory's 1.5 million residents.

Israel had warned the activists ahead of both journeys not to enter the closed military zone it maintains around the Gaza Strip but did not obstruct either voyage.

Israel has sealed Gaza off from all but limited humanitarian aid since Hamas -- which is sworn to Israel's destruction -- drove out forces loyal to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in a week of deadly street fighting.

Iran advocates media to introduce real image of Islam

Tehran-Spokesman of Foreign Ministry Hassan Qashqavi said on Sunday the capacity of mass media and information technology must be utilized to introduce real image of Islam.

Addressing an international conference on Islam and Media in the 21st century in Khartoum, Sudan, Qashqavi said that that Islamic scholars should downgrade minor difference among various Islamic sects and focus on neutralizing organized propaganda against Islam.

Qashqavi arrived in Khartoum Saturday night heading an Iranian media delegation to attend the conference and discuss promotion of Tehran-Khartoum media cooperation with senior officials of Sudan.

Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during his address to the conference, the spokesman outlined Tehran's view on the ways to lead world public opinion by media activities.

"Solidarity of media activities in the Muslim world is necessary to guide the world public opinion about Islam," Qashqavi said referring to the key role played by mass media to this end.

He stressed that Islamic states could successfully portray a logical and acceptable image of Islam for the world public opinion through making optimum use of mass media.

Qashqavi urged Muslim countries to pay due attention to thwart organized propaganda campaign against Islam instead of focusing on minor religious differences among various Islamic sects.

Commentary:

As most people know because it portrayed a false image of Islam with the Islamophobia media propaganda campaign by the Bush Administration predominately, that I have never approved, because the intention while it was not just falsified was down right slanderous.

Which should be against any good people’s religious belief’s not to do such as this to another religion, but in turn to always respect all religions; even sometimes if one may have a disagreement.

For one should focus on the truth of the disagreement, not mud slinging and lies as the US media propaganda has done.

Furthermore, I have always believed in the unity of the Ummah and I will admit, I have never actually made a pronounced focus on the differences of Sunni or Shia because of respect and that with this Islamophobia media propaganda problem; we are actually standing together, because these attacks are on the whole of Islam not caring what sect a person may belong too.

Nevertheless, I will even contend that these media propaganda attacks are not just on Islam itself, but Judaism and little by little other countries and religions that do not agree with the Bush Administration.

As if a big school yard Bush bully in short pants that kind of cuts in the inseam were saying, “If you do not give your milk money, I am going to beat you up and tell the other children a bunch of bad lies about you.”

Canaanite Juvenile “thug's" Attack journalists 1 Injured

Bader suffered head injuries today, when Canaanite juvenile’s hurled rocks at journalists near the city of Hebron, witnesses said.

In the hospital, Bader received eight stitches and will stay overnight.

Bader was among a group of journalists, who had been trying to circumvent the Canaanite and US media falsified propaganda and get the truth out to the global community of what is actually occurring in Palestine, it was reported.

For Palestine, prosperity is not just around the corner, but growing in people’s backyards and with the Canaanite and US slanderous media propaganda, which it has been reported numerous times; actually is initiated by not just the Bush administration, but global terrorist Interpol fugitive Mahmoud Abbas terrorist organization, so people would think horrendous idea’s of war and mayhem that is only being perpetrated by these two propaganda camps or within there own minds.

As to the Canaanite juvenile “thug‘s” throwing stones and lying of who is actually guilty is not just Canaanite propaganda, but what they like to do best; be criminal’s without ever having a different mindset. For the majority of Canaanite’s have always been criminal’s to the tenth degree and always will be.

The one thing that actually makes it bad in cases like this, the overwhelming anti-Semitism that the Canaanite’s have always had; which recently I happened to get part of a Canaanite writing, 'that the Nazi’s should have finished the job of annihilating anyone Semantic and that they planned on finishing the job.'

Hopefully, this will give the global community the actual mindset of the Canaanite’s, there propaganda with the Bush administration collaboration; to falsifying the real truth of the State of Palestine.

Furthermore as to the recent US media propaganda, claiming that some Jewish Palestinians where forced to be Muslim Palestinians is simply a lie; the people of Palestine are not one to change there religious socks every time they turn around; as it occurs much too often in the West. Palestinians regardless of there religion, for thousands of years tend to be very happy with just who they are and appreciate that there neighbors are not necessarily the same religion as them; for Palestinians have a kinship, that goes beyond the simple boundaries of religion. It is all about ancestral family.

Bushonomics: Bush Media Propaganda is Pulling a Dead Fish

Same old US President George W. Bush, his media propaganda telling the same tired lies and cover-up’s that has gotten to a point that the majority of American’s no longer listen’s; they more listen to the tears and hunger in many American children’s eye's, thanks to Bush’s economy initiatives.

Now Bush is talking a second economic stimulus package which it is a remembrance of the first one being more of a ho-hum because of the economic strife American’s where facing at that time, the lateness for many American‘s in receiving said checks or some never got one to begin with; was reported.

Did the first economic stimulus package help American’s, to say in one simple word, "NO."

As to the second economic stimulus helping an already sever economic collapsing country, with at least 9 trillion dollars in debt already and counting; the answer is within the trillion's of dollar question.

The sign’s are everywhere as American’s continue to tightened those ever worn belts and over worked American's so tired of just trying to make end’s meet and in too many case's not making it or wonder where they may sleep tonight because they have lost there job or lost there home due to Bushonomics mortgage foreclosure.

Nevertheless, Bush’s continuous falsified media propaganda, has actually got like the little man pulling the big dead fish and inch at a time with the feeling he has gotten nowhere; because he actually look‘s around him and his world and Bush‘s lie‘s in the media world, are two different world‘s.

Maybe Bush is playing make believe like a child, instead of wishing people to see the real world, that the average person actually lives in?

As for those Americans interested in presidential candidate's spending, I saw two separate headline's, that presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has $47 million dollars to spend for October and presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama entered October with $ 133.6 million on hand to spend.

Here is another good headline, “Gunmen kill 5 Iraqis, wound pregnant woman,” apparently unknown gunmen which has became the by word that the US Military doesn’t wish to stand-up and say it was us and wave or the every tiresome insurgent or militant, which if there was that many in Iraq, the US Military would be trampled under foot by the multitude of them.

Nevertheless, this particular case the victims where Sunni Muslim this time and yet one may ask, what is the normal chance of the average person wounding a pregnant woman, actually not as high as one think’s; unless they where targeted.

Just a little food for thought as the saying goes, the next time one read’s the media propaganda headlines and thinks they got the whole scoop, rethink what is actually occuring or the real truth of the matter for one may mentally says this is a fact; when it may very well be not.

New Orleans not Third World

It is amazing how the media propaganda is going on about some of the refugee style housing projects in New Orleans since Katrina in 2005, which are more in toon to what some may find as a type of refugee housing in some third world countries and what is worse is meant to be permanent resident housing in New Orleans.

What is even worse and to no disrespect to the black community in any manner, but some of the homes looks like a modern version of the old Southern slave quarters; which I find appalling to say the least.

The big splash of the Brad Pitt housing project which many residents in New Orleans thought was a puff of smoke in the wind, has been suggested to be just another project when it did get somewhat of the ground; to be just another fabricated style home as mentioned before.

As to some people being overjoyed which I find in question, it may be that the huge homeless refugee population in the streets and those in FEMA trailers getting ill from a type of poising or the low income population may think otherwise; due to the fact what was actually right has never been done.

The Pakistani Long Road for Peace

Another Bush Yawn Fest

As to no disrespect to Slovak President Gasparovic, but the address that was published with the Slovak President and US President George W. Bush just looked like another yawn fest propaganda speech that the global community as grown to consider a time dishonored Bush hideaway and nothing more.

Bush’s approval rating is so bad there is people even at this time trying everything within there abilities to have him impeached, because they feel the US will not survive until his leave of office, on 20 January 2008.

Furthermore, numerous American’s have taken it upon themselves to use numerous methods of countdown's of when Bush will leave office and yes, some of the methods apparently have became a little famous from my understanding.

As to refreshing my memory of the date when Bush would be leaving office, I too, used one of the countdown methods.

As to another little bit of interest, is that numerous people at some of the Bush gathering's that appears to applaud and so forth a lot, it was reported; they where paid to do so.

American Tax Dollars at Work in Psychological warfare towards Iraq

The Pentagon will invest 300 million U.S. dollars over the next three years to produce pro-Western news programs for the Iraqi media, it was reported.

It has signed contracts with four private companies for the task last week, according to reports.

The U.S. military expects the plan to expand its "information and psychological operations" in Iraq far into the future.

The move reflects a new U.S. thinking about the military's part in media propaganda, contrary to honest news reporting and programs.

Uniformed communications specialists and contractors are now an integral part of U.S. military operations from Eastern Europe to Afghanistan.

Iraq, where hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent previously, has been considered the proving ground for this new strategy of psychological warfare.

While back in the United States, US President George W. Bush signed a 700 billion bailout plan on Friday, that is actually ineffective for the American economy; which is falling over faster into the abyss.

Which Bush seems to have the adage for the average American or for anyone else for that matter of, "let them eat cake?"

The State of Palestine is Fine

As to the Palestinian people being under any undue duress, this a falsely and not to be met with truth; this type of thing has been so played up by U.S. media propaganda and by the terrorist organization in Palestine by Mahmoud Abbas; that it should not be taken as valuable assertion towards reaction.

Since the war has been over for a little time now, the people mentioned above would very much like the global community believe that Palestine is in the same situation it has been prior of the 108 year war, when actually; this is contrary to the truth.

As to the insults to the real Palestinian people and for people to believe that the Jewish people are still harming us in some manner is absolutely not true, the one’s that have and still try to create the unrest is from the Bush Administration and from global terrorist, Interpol fugitive Mahmoud Abbas and his terrorist Canaanite organization.

Nevertheless, people around the globe or so frightened about terrorism it is a known fact if these terrorist elements mention of Bush and Abbas partnership where stopped, instead of trying other means like the big brother scenario; terrorism would began to cease in the world today.

While there is some pressure on the Canaanite’s to cease terrorism and to leave the country for they are illegal’s, this is the only problem in Palestine today; otherwise the State of Palestine is fine.

Islamabad Marriott Hotel Bombing

A view of fire caused by bomb explosion at Marriott hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan. A huge suicide truck bomb devastated the heavily guarded Marriott Hotel in Pakistan's capital, killing at least 40 people.

While there is some saying it is Al-Qaeda again, which has became more of a bad joke then honesty; because it is getting to appear there is more people in Al-Qaeda then the whole of the population of the planet, which has everyone knows it is not a possibility.

While one should look closer to reality, what was even more interesting is the Marriott hotel chain is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A.

Nevertheless, what made this a horrible act like other terrorist attacks, about 53 people became martyrs.

Update:
After writing this article, it popped-up in the media that the Pakistani Taliban may now be guilty of this crime and while this is not the first time such dribble occurred in the media after something of the nature; Nevertheless, it must be admitted that because this was a sad situation and that at least the US media propaganda campaign is making it humorous for their windblown writing.

Furthermore, the estimate of people said to be arrested for being Al-Qaeda is also interesting, due to the fact of some people being accused as such and they where innocent.
