Ben-Eliezer calls for the release of Marwan al-Barghouthi
February 24, 2008 (BBC)-The political leader of the Israeli and Israeli Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer called for the release of Palestinian political leader Marwan Barghouthi of his prison in Israel.
The Israeli minister said that there is a need for a strong Palestinian political leadership can accomplish a peace agreement with Israel.
He added Ben-Eliezer, told the transfer of the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot on the Internet, that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad not able to complete a peace agreement with Israel.
