US, Israel accountable for Shiraz terror, Iranian Prosecutor-General
Tehran-Prosecutor General Qorban-Ali Dorri Najaf- Abadi said on Sunday that US and Israel are accountable for bombing a mosque in Iran's southern city of Shiraz that claimed 12 lives last month.
On April 12, some 12 people lost their lives and more than 190 others were wounded in an explosion at a cultural center that was part of a mosque in the internationally known tourist city, cradle of Takht-e Jamshid (Persepolis).
Najaf-Abadi was assigned to follow up the terror case and take legal action with the UN court of justice against terror sponsors.
Iran's Information Ministry said on Saturday that new findings divulged the US hand in the terrorist bombing.
Speaking to reporters after a meetings with his counterpart from Cyprus, Petros Clerides, he said, "The roots of such events are in the US and Israel."
Stressing that even some of the countries had acknowledged that the "US is the center of the conspiracy" the prosecutor general said, "The case would be seriously followed up."
"This is not clear how supporters of (the US President George W. Bush) and the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) will answer to all their crimes."
