On 18 July 1969, Edward Moore (Nicknames: "Ted" or "Teddy") Kennedy in an attempt to shut up an affair and remove a problem that was felt would harm his political career with this pregnant young unmarried woman, who was carrying Ted Kennedy’s unborn child; while in the early evening, not the late hour originally claimed by Kennedy of 11:15 p.m. Kennedy drove with intent, his 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 off a Chappaquiddick (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) bridge and it overturned in the water, where Kennedy left the submerged car leaving intentionally because he never planned on helping the woman, left a very pregnant Mary Jo Kopechne to drown.

As stated by sources, Kennedy contacted his brother’s Robert and John Kennedy on what to do about Mary Jo after he had fled the crime scene; but intentionally failed to report the incident to the authorities until the car and Kopechne's body were discovered the next morning.

From President Kennedy's birthday gala where Marilyn Monroe sang the famous televised "Happy Birthday, Mr. President;" which some biographer’s claimed Marilyn was intoxicated while singing.

Earlier in the evening of the previous day, their had been numerous bouts of drinking and allegations of illegal drugs consumed. Which over the course of Kennedy’s life, he would have numerous affairs or classified a womanizer like his brothers Robert and John ( who's famous "embarrassing" affair with Marilyn Monroe, who many has classified her death as murder on 5 August 1962); but also Kennedy's severe bouts of obsessive drinking over the years.

While Kennedy was never charged with homicide, but rather went by the public view of the time, as being swept under the carpet; too many people that lived during this time still have felt that Kennedy was guilty of two counts of homicide.

What is ironic, a funeral for Mary Jo Kopechne was held on 22 July 1969, at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, which was attended by Kennedy, who was also Roman Catholic. She is buried in the parish cemetery on the side of Larksville Mountain. Mary Jo, was only 28 years-old.

This is the legacy, that Ted Kennedy is actually most known for by many from that time, which has actually overshadowed his political career; until the day he died 25 August 2009, at 77 years-old.

I have always remembered this homicide case, due not just to the fact in was a premeditated homicide; but the horror of purposely letting a young woman, with an unborn baby drown to death. -HRM Deborah

Carter the International Grifter

Since that day, Carter has made his share of trips to the Middle East; especially Israel with the US unscrupulous foreign policies tacked as grib notes to the loop of his belt; instead of the US making their peace with the Muslim and Jews throughout the world and even going so far now to focus or attack Muslim and Jewish youth with this unacceptable behavior.

Doesn’t the US think 109 years of this unscrupulous shady behavior of war, lies and death is enough; apparently, not or did they ever here the phrase, ‘Conquest is futile?”

To yet, the idea, that the Middle East is wise, to a bad US con job and even we know a good Grifter wears a suit.

But as to Carter’s variety of ‘shell game,’ he is an ‘enforce intimidator;’ if something is not going in the direction the US wishes for instance of forcing US democracy ideals on a country that doesn’t wish this form of political system or cram the US brand of Middle East policies down the throat; send Carter.

Crime Actually Doesn't Pay

The Bonnie (Parker) and Clyde (Barrow) car riddled with bullet holes after the ambush on 23 May 1934 on a highway near Sailes, Louisiana by US law enforcement officers; as bank robbers, even they knew they would be eventually caught one day or killed; but they where bent to defy US federal laws and the crime statistics of the 1930’s.

Also, in US history of the 1930’s Great Depression, the ‘Grifter’ was a dime a dozen, from every type of con, bank robbery to racketeering one could imagine, to even by some be romanticized in ‘Americana’ and while this has not actually diminished so much since that time; with the current US financial crisis this type of criminal activity is hitting the status of vogue within the American society once again as it did in the 1930's; which must be keeping the 'bunko' section of the police department, it is assured very busy.

Who's Got the Tar?

There is also a time in US and European history where a person who was very unacceptable would be tar and feathered upon the majority of the person; to be further, either ridden out on a 'rail' (railroad rail) or just forced out of town in this condition, usually by an angry mob. A very unpleasant way of saying, one was not only a criminal or extremely immoral; but tremendously unacceptable or unwelcome in a particular town, city or in Carter‘s case; country.

As to how to apply, the rather warm tar was usually applied first, so the feather's (a lot of chicken feathers were used) would adhere to the person in question. As to the removal, it was very difficult and uncomfortable.

As to where crime leads a person as far as Paradise (Heavens) is concerned, they do not even reach the 'heavily guarded front gate' of the firmament; but yet, the gates to hell is assured to be open and waiting.

Islamophobia Vandalism Hits Southern French City

Vandals hung a pig's head from the door of a Muslim prayer room in eastern France, daubing the building top to bottom with swastikas and anti-Islamic graffiti, police said today.

A passer-by alerted police Wednesday morning after discovering the pig's head hung from the door and trotters from the shutters of the prayer centre, part of a north African community center on the outskirts of the town of Toul.

The graffiti read : "France to French people, Here is Nazi."

What find’s situations such as this and other forms of intolerance in the last few years one of questions, is due to historically; France did not have such as this within their country, but quite the contrary with such an example of Monarchal alliances made between France and the Middle East. For centuries, there was warm friendliness, between these two parts of the world.

US Child Prostitution Epidemic

Child Prostitution has became a rising epidemic in the US, the program NOW on PBS visits Atlanta, Georgia to see how one American city is handling the tragic phenomenon of child prostitution. It is one of 27 American cities where the problem seems to be spinning out of control.

This is not just girls on the street, but is a growing Internet business; is just one of the many growing immoral aspects occurring within the US.

While any type of relations with a child is a felony in the US, it has fallen to the wayside as immorality continues to grow beyond what is acceptable within any society; which also alcoholism and the rampant drug industry are still in runaway proportions, inter mixed with the prostitution problem.

"[The child prostitutes are] ten or 11 years old, and the age is getting lower. We're not talking about 17 and 18 and 19 year old's, although we could," Atlanta's Mayor Franklin says.

From billboards, adult bookstores, to every facet form of advertising is being promoted that this type of behavior is being perpetrated that any type of illicit immorality is acceptable and while women are usually targeted with this type of situation; children are now the growing targets, which previously within some US court cases of men molesting babies, who later many died.

Not just Child Prostitution, but the whole foundation of morality has crumbled and immoralty within the US is spinning out of control.

The St. Valentine's Day Massacre was used by Al Capone' to eliminated his enemies.

There were also, numerous premeditated murders such as the famous one of the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre, by order's of Al Capone.

A Speakeasy, the song, “Puttin’ on the Ritz” became very popular within these type of illegal establishment’s.

With the repeal of the Alcohol Prohibition Act, these types of crimes seemed to die down some what; until World War 2; when the US military started again to use drive-by-shooting as a military tactic, which is still used today by the US military in such places as Iraq and Afghanistan, towards civilians and similar target’s.

As to the Middle East, the method of the drive-by-shooting is foreign and has only been seen by the original influence of the US.

The next time drive-by-shooting’s came into vogue, was in the 1970’s, when street gang’s appeared on the scene in the US; with such thing’s as drug wars and fighting for neighborhood turf or what became known as “Turf Wars.” Such street gang’s known that originated in California in there earlier years, which the two gang’s known as the “Blood’s and Crip’s” used this type of criminal method in their gang wars, frequently.

So the drive-by-shooting idea and the origin of the drive-by-shooting, is from the United States.

More Americans say they have no religion

Feeling there way through faith's darkness, a country in Decline.

A wide-ranging study on American religious life found that the Roman Catholic population has been shifting out o of the Northeast to the Southwest, the percentage of Christians in the nation has declined and more people say they have no religion at all.

Fifteen percent of respondents said they had no religion, an increase from 14.2 percent in 2001 and 8.2 percent in 1990, according to the American Religious Identification Survey. (Continued)

Commentary:

There are times, with what happens to a country; has nothing to do with a particular religion, but what is occurring within the countries society structure.

While this particular poll apparently was bias, what is not taken into account is the climbing morality decline in the US and the further collapsing infrastructure of this particular country.

As to some of the major problems in this moral decline are promiscuity, Alcoholism, illicit drug use and various high crime‘s, with complacency; which all accept the latter of crime, has brought about certain disease’s that while some are highly contagious and have no foreseeable medical cure for these disease’s (which does include embryonic stem cell research); except through prevention by moral decency. Which some of these disease’s are not just in the carrier’s themselves, but some can be transmitted to the unborn during pregnancy, to children and in many cases; to others by contact with an infected carrier.

As this pragmatic situation goes beyond mere ideological thought as one may be in question, but to have been ascertained previously; by the scientific and medical community.

Nevertheless, the US continued issue of cloning especially with the precept of future human cloning, baby abortion and child abuse for example‘s; these situation’s or problems would not be an issue within a moral society for they wouldn't occur.

As to the US alleged scientific issue on Global ‘Warming or former US Vice President Al Gore got an expensive light bulb idea, which is nothing but what is called a 'Band-Aid solution'; where the Band-Aid has blown out the car window at 70 MPH, to finally be caught and pasted to an advertisement billboard on the side of the highway.

Which the original solution for this problem, stems from ancient writing’s, not as suggested by US President Barack Obama’s atheist view point; which by the original solution has always been previously, the most sound one of stabilizing the earth.

Iron Eyes Cody AKA the "Crying Indian" was in a “Keep America Beautiful public service announcement” in the early 1970’s, concerning the severe problem of US litter and pollution; which is still occuring today. While at the time this service announcement was being advertised on television and billboard’s, the scope of Global warming and numerous other Environmental problem’s was already being put in the forefront for people not just to be conscientiously aware; but that their was already a major problem.

Finally, the US is not just having an economic collapse, they are having a full collapse in ever facet of the structure of the country itself or what is called 'full implosion' and as far as any type of integrity, it has galloped off as a cowboy; into the perplexed sunset.

Obama Poll: Demon or Saint

As the American propaganda spreads some fictitious poll to make US President Barack Obama out to be some type of saint; there is a much wider more global conscious that tells a much better view of Obama‘s popularity, which is less the prodigy of sainthood, to more the exposure of a apostate demon of bogus hope; especially for the American’s.

Nevertheless, with Obama’s alleged stimulus package and other insidious proposal’s under the guise of aiding the American people, in reality this is just a method to commit financial rape of the whole of the populace of that country; to have the financial means to continue with their criminal activities doesn’t only affect Palestine, but the bulk of the global community.

How much longer should not just the global community, but the citizens of the US have to tolerate all these unspeakable criminal activities; as the US government abuses and continues to try an hold the world hostage?

Law Laid Down by Allah (Hashem)

All illegal’s in Israel, are not welcome due to the law laid down by Allah (Hashem) thousand’s of years ago, that Israel would always be a closed country and this goes to a kindness that a former queen made about 9,000 years ago in allowing the Canaanite’s into the country; this do to their criminal deception upon entrance and the crime‘s they have committed since, against the citizen’s of the county.

As to those, who are committing criminal activities at this time, as traitor’s and terrorist’s to the country and are also dead to their families; their citizenship is also revoked and are considered illegal’s within or any relationship to Israel.

Nor anyone with a criminal background or with criminal intent will not be allowed entrance into Israel; in any manner, regardless of your background. For crime or attempt any criminal activities is unacceptable within the country and this includes all activities by the United States, due to their past history towards the country; with the initiation of the 109 year war against the country, their terrorist activities (inside and outside of Israel towards it‘s citizens, which has included bombings, assault etc. ) , murder (inside and outside of Israel towards it‘s citizens), US financial funding of terrorism within the country; towards known terrorist groups with many wanted not just in Israel, but by Interpol for global terrorism, for example such as Mahmoud Abbas and his organization and other high crime’s since, against the country nor any attacks towards the domestic or international policy of Israel, by the US government as they have been doing in the past and are still doing with every effort to harm or destroy the country; which also includes, the use of US terrorist activities, their alleged peace activates, to further this cause and is considered acts of aggression against Israel and her citizens.

This includes, that no American may enter Israel, either US government or citizen; with the US self-posed aggressive extermination war against these two religions of Islam and Judaism, that these two religions were blessed by Allah (Hashem) from the beginning of time; which also includes the other criminal acts previously mentioned above.

Nevertheless, it should also be known under this law; that the government of Israel (since 9,500 B.C.) which includes both ministries (Islam and Judaism) and the Queen, does not negotiate with anyone unacceptable which includes; criminal’s, illegal’s or terrorist’s, in any manner nor do we believe in any form of unification with these same sorts of people, for this is also not allowed.

For that which has always been a law laid down by Allah (Hashem), will be upheld, without question. As Israel will stay intact, which includes the land pertaining to the country; which includes that their will not be any type of land division and by all the law’s laid down by Allah (Hashem) from the beginning.

UK Terrorist on the Move

As Gaza aid caravan leaves England, 9 supporters seized by ‘anti-terror’ forces

According to Israeli media, 9 British activists on their way to join a humanitarian aid caravan to Gaza were seized by British ‘anti-terror’ police, along with the aid in their vehicles and the vehicles themselves. Most of them were released without charge, and three are still being held.

The caravan they were trying to join left for Palestine from London Saturday morning, led by British Parliament Member George Galloway. The group calls itself ‘Lifeline for Gaza’, and consists of over a hundred vehicles, including a dozen ambulances, fire trucks, a boat, and a million tons of humanitarian aid. They are driving from Britain to Gaza via France, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, and plan to cross the Rafah border from Egypt into Gaza on March 2.

Three vehicles which were travelling from Blackburn, north of London, to join the caravan, were stopped by British ‘anti-terror’ police in a massive operation. But police did not say why they detained the activists, or what they were being charged with. Their vehicles had banners on them reading, "Stop Killing Children, Free Palestine" and "From Blackburn (U.K.) to Gaza."

The massive aid caravan was organized in just four weeks by a number of groups, including Viva Palestina, the Stop the War Coalition, the Respect Party, the Anglo-Arab Organization, several British trade unions and a large number of Muslim organizations.

As the caravan departed from Britain, MP Galloway said to the British Sky News, "There is an intifada sweeping Britain. It is a massive and peaceful movement in support of the beleaguered population of Gaza and Palestine. It is happening everywhere, but is especially strong in the north of England and especially among young Muslims. This convoy is material manifestation of it. In barely a month, it has metamorphosed from an aspiration I threw out at the 100,000-strong pro-Palestine demonstration on January 10 to more than 100 vehicles and nearly 300 people from across Britain. We will lead the biggest convoy of British vehicles across North Africa since Montgomery."

The participants in the caravan are all self-financed volunteers, and all of the vehicles they are driving, including trucks and ambulances, will be donated to the people of Gaza when they arrive on March 2.

What is not mentioned in the above article, is that this particular group headed by British MP George Galloway sent ahead to pave the way a terrorist group which he is allegedly a member called the 'Global Intifada' assassination squad’s to murder anyone they felt was in there way of success.

One of the people that were marked for assassination was HRM Deborah of Palestine and it was brought to attention by others within the Palestine ministry that they where also on this target list, it was reported.

As it is well known, terrorism in any form, let alone murderer’s is not allowed in Palestine and all appropriate actions is being taken to insure the safety of the citizen’s of Palestine.

It is also in gratitude towards British ‘anti-terror’ police, for there efforts in this matter.

Nevertheless, these other alleged organization’s associated with these people; should also be investigated for terrorist activities.

It is tax time again; for the majority of American’s and it is assured your mouth is watering with the hope of that nice return check, but this year think again.

US President Barack Obama passed a bill to nix that income tax return check, instead the majority of American’s rather it is state or federal will have to pay until the pain can not even be relieved by an aspirin.

If American’s where wondering about the issue of how Obama was going to come up with money for his current beat the government over the head stimulus package, here is one idea.

What is saddened by this, is how American’s are struggling to make end’s meet now and those who took out loans with the hope to pay them back with the now invisible tax return check; it is a wonder of how far the American people will have to suffer before their government stripes everything away from them.

New Orleans: Police searching for person in connection with fatal shooting of former police officer

New Orleans- New Orleans police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver or occupants of a dark-colored SUV in connection with the Feb. 8th shooting death of a former New Orleans police officer, according to NOPD spokesman Garry Flot.

Police responding to a call of "shots fired" found Willie Jones Jr. inside of a dark colored BMW at about 5:15 a.m. near the Downroad Road exit ramp of the Interstate 10, Flot said. He had suffered apparent gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical technicians.

According to investigators, Jones had been involved in a traffic accident eastbound on the Interstate 10 by the high rise. He then exited the Downman Road ramp towards Chef Menteur Highway, at which time he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and struck a fence and a vehicle parked inside the fence.

It has not been determined at which point the shooting took place, Flot said. The coroner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, he said.

Detectives are looking for the driver or occupants of the SUV who may have information about the incident, Flot said. The person or persons are not suspects in the incident, but just people who detectives would like to speak with.

Jones served with the New Orleans police from 1988 to 2006, when he resigned after being booked in connection with a domestic abuse incident, police said.

Investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person or persons involved in this incident, as well as a motive, Flot said. Homicide Detective Nick Gernon is in charge of the investigation.

And to think it has only taken Obama eight day’s, to get blood dripping from his hands for crimes against humanity and to work diligently towards continuing the plummeting of American economic system.

US Forces Still Murdering Afghan Civilians

While US-led coalition forces said they killed 15 ‘armed militants’ in eastern Afghanistan, but local legislators say the casualties were civilians including women and children.

Meanwhile, President Hamid Karzai condemned a U.S. operation he said killed 16 Afghan civilians, while the hundreds of villagers denounced the American military during the angry demonstration on Sunday.

As the US media propaganda, exaggerates claims of what is going on in Afghanistan to justify there contention and to reinforce there allegations of more troops within the country.

The death toll towards civilians not just in Afghanistan, but also neighboring Pakistan by the same means is staggering.

This goes along with the US self-imposed, instigated war not just against the Islamic Ummah; but the Jewish community as well, which can be seen by activities perpetrated against these two religious groups.

Suspect Identified in Murder Investigation Moments after the Offense

New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Larry Coleman, wanted in connection with the fatal shooting that resulted in the death of 17-year-old Brian Urby. The offense occurred shortly before 5:30 P.M., in the 7100 block of Bunker Hill Road.

According to investigators, Seventh District officers responded to a call of a “male shot” and upon their arrival, found the victim inside of a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Emergency medical technicians transported the victim to the hospital where he later died.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, diligent work of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Division and great citizen involvement, detectives determined Coleman as the person responsible for the murder moments after the offense.

Detectives also learned that this incident stemmed from an argument prior to the offense.

Blackwater guards killed 16 as U.S. touted progress

BAGHDAD — On Sept. 9, the day before Army Gen. David Petraeus, the U.S. military commander in Iraq, and U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker told Congress that things were getting better, Batoul Mohammed Ali Hussein came to Baghdad for the day.

A clerk in the Iraqi customs office in Diyala province, she was in the capital to drop off and pick up paperwork at the central office near busy al Khilani Square, not far from the fortified Green Zone, where top U.S. and Iraqi officials live and work. U.S. officials often pass through the square in heavily guarded convoys on their way to other parts of Baghdad.

As Hussein walked out of the customs building, an embassy convoy of sport-utility vehicles drove through the intersection. Blackwater security guards, charged with protecting the diplomats, yelled at construction workers at an unfinished building to move back. Instead, the workers threw rocks. The guards, witnesses said, responded with gunfire, spraying the intersection with bullets.

Hussein, who was on the opposite side of the street from the construction site, fell to the ground, shot in the leg. As she struggled to her feet and took a step, eyewitnesses said, a Blackwater security guard trained his weapon on her and shot her multiple times. She died on the spot, and the customs documents she'd held in her arms fluttered down the street.

Before the shooting stopped, four other people were killed in what would be the beginning of eight days of violence that Iraqi officials say bolster their argument that Blackwater should be banned from working in Iraq.

During the ensuing week, as Crocker and Petraeus told Congress that the surge of more U.S. troops to Iraq was beginning to work and President Bush gave a televised address in which he said "ordinary life was beginning to return" to Baghdad, Blackwater security guards shot at least 43 people on crowded Baghdad streets. At least 16 of those people died.

Two Blackwater guards died in one of the incidents, which was triggered when a roadside bomb struck a Blackwater vehicle.

Still, it was an astounding amount of violence attributed to Blackwater. In the same eight-day period, according to statistics compiled by McClatchy Newspapers, other acts of violence across the embattled capital claimed the lives of 32 people and left 87 injured, not including unidentified bodies found dumped on Baghdad's streets.

The best known of that week's incidents took place the following Sunday, Sept. 16, when Blackwater guards killed 11 and wounded 12 at the busy al Nisour traffic circle in central Baghdad.

Iraqi officials said the guards were unprovoked when they opened fire on a white car carrying three people, including a baby. All died. The security guards then fired at other nearby vehicles, including a minibus loaded with passengers, killing a mother of eight. An Iraqi soldier also died.

In Blackwater's only statement regarding the Sept. 16 incident, Anne Tyrell, the company's spokeswoman, denied that the dead were civilians. "The 'civilians' reportedly fired upon by Blackwater professionals were in fact armed enemies," she said in an e-mail, "and Blackwater personnel returned defensive fire."

A joint commission of five U.S. State Department officials, three U.S. military officials and eight Iraqis has been formed to investigate the incident, though almost two weeks later, the commission has yet to meet. A U.S. Embassy statement on Thursday, the first official written comment from the embassy since the al Nisour shooting, said that the group was "preparing" to meet.

Blackwater and the U.S. Embassy didn't respond to requests for information about the other incidents.

But interviews with eyewitnesses and survivors of each incident describe similar circumstances in which Blackwater guards took aggressive action against civilians who seemed to pose no threat.

"They killed her in cold blood," Hussein Jumaa Hassan, 30, a parking lot attendant, said of Hussein.

Hassan pointed to the bullet-pocked concrete column behind him. He'd hidden behind it.

"I was boiling with anger, and I wished that I had a weapon in my hands in those minutes," he said. "They wanted to kill us all."

Anyone who moved was shot until the convoy left the square, witnesses said. Also among the dead was Kadhim Gayes, a city hall guard.

It took two days for Hussein's family to retrieve her body from the morgue. Before they could, her sister signed a sheet acknowledging the contents of her purse, which had been collected by security guards at the Baghdad city hall — a Samsung cell phone, a change purse with six keys and 37,000 Iraqi dinars ($30), gold bracelets, a notebook, pens, and photos of her and her children.

Three days later, Blackwater guards were back in al Khilani Square, Iraqi government officials said. This time, there was no shooting, witnesses said. Instead, the Blackwater guards hurled frozen bottles of water into store windows and windshields, breaking the glass.

Ibrahim Rubaie, the deputy security director at a nearby Baghdad city government office building, said it's common for Blackwater guards to shoot as they drive through the square. He said Blackwater guards also shot and wounded people in the square on June 21, though there are no official reports of such an incident.

On Sept. 13 — the same day Bush gave his "ordinary life" speech — Blackwater guards were escorting State Department officials down Palestine Street near the Shiite enclave of Sadr City when a roadside bomb detonated, ripping through one of the Blackwater vehicles.

The blast killed two Blackwater guards. As other guards went to retrieve the dead, they fired wildly in several directions, witnesses said.

Mohammed Mazin was at home when he heard the bang, which shattered one of his windows.

Then he heard gunfire, and he and his son, Laith, went to the roof to see what was going on.

What they saw were security contractors shooting in different directions as a helicopter hovered overhead. Bullets flew through his home's windows, he said.

No civilians were killed that day, but five were wounded, according to Iraq's Interior Ministry.

The following Sunday, Blackwater guards opened fire as the State Department convoy they were escorting crossed in front of stopped traffic at the al Nisour traffic circle.

While U.S. officials have offered no explanation of what occurred that day, witnesses and Iraqi investigators agree that the guards' first target was a white car that either hadn't quite stopped or was trying to nudge its way to the front of traffic.

In the car were a man whose name is uncertain; Mahasin Muhsin, a mother and doctor; and Muhsin's young son. The guards first shot the man, who was driving. As Muhsin screamed, a Blackwater guard shot her. The car exploded, and Muhsin and the child burned, witnesses said.

Afrah Sattar, 27, was on a bus approaching the square when she saw the guards fire on the white car. She and her mother, Ghania Hussein, were headed to the Certificate of Identification Office in Baghdad to pick up proof of Sattar's Iraqi citizenship for an upcoming trip to a religious shrine in Iran.

When she saw the gunmen turn toward the bus, Sattar looked at her mother in fear. "They're going to shoot at us, Mama," she said. Her mother hugged her close. Moments later, a bullet pierced her mother's skull and another struck her shoulder, Sattar recalled.

As her mother's body went limp, blood dripped onto Sattar's head, still cradled in her mother's arms.

"Mother, mother," she called out. No answer. She hugged her mother's body and kissed her lips and began to pray, "We belong to God and we return to God." The bus emptied, and Sattar sat alone at the back, with her mother's bleeding body.

"I'm lost now, I'm lost," she said days later in her simple two-bedroom home. Ten people lived there; now there are nine.

"They are killers," she said of the Blackwater guards. "I swear to God, not one bullet was shot at them. Why did they shoot us? My mother didn't carry a weapon."

Downstairs, her father, Sattar Ghafil Slom al Kaabi, 67, sat beneath a smiling picture of his wife and recalled their 40-year love story and how they raised eight children together. On the way to the holy city of Najaf to bury her, he'd stopped his car, with her coffin strapped to the top. He got out and stood beside the coffin. He wanted to be with her a little longer.

"I loved her more than anything," he said, his voice wavering. "Now that she is dead, I love her more."

Musicians and pop stars are joining forces with British human rights activists to stop U.S. military interrogators from using their songs to torture detainees.

The campaign has brought together groups including Massive Attack and musicians such as Tom Morello, who played with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.

It will feature minutes of silence during concerts and festivals, said Chloe Davies of the law group Reprieve, which represents dozens of Guantanamo Bay detainees.

Military contractor Donald Vance told how he was subjected to blaring rock music for 20 hours a day when he was held in Iraq.

The auditory assault went on for days, then weeks, then months at the U.S. military detention centre in Baghdad.

At least Vance, who says he was jailed for reporting illegal arms sales, was used to rock music.

For many detainees who grew up in Afghanistan - where music was prohibited under Taliban rule - interrogations by U.S. forces marked their first exposure to the pounding rhythms, played at top volume. The experience was overwhelming for many.

Binyam Mohammed, now a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay, said men held with him at the CIA's 'Dark Prison' in Afghanistan wound up screaming and smashing their heads against walls, unable to endure more.

'There was loud music, (Eminem's) 'Slim Shady' and Dr. Dre for 20 days. I heard this nonstop over and over,' he told his lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith.

'The CIA worked on people, including me, day and night for the months before I left. Plenty lost their minds.'

Rear Adm. David Thomas, the commander of Guantanamo's detention centre, said the music treatment is not currently used at Guantanamo but added that he could not rule out its use in the future.

'I couldn't speculate and I wouldn't speculate but I can tell you it doesn't happen here at Guantanamo and it hasn't happened since I've been here,' Thomas, who has been at Guantanamo for a half-year.

The spokeswoman for Guantanamo's detention centre, Navy Cmdr Pauline Storum, wouldn't give details of when and how music has been used at the prison.

FBI agents stationed at Guantanamo Bay reported numerous instances in which music was blasted at detainees, saying they were 'told such tactics were common there.'

According to an FBI memo, one interrogator at Guantanamo Bay bragged he needed only four days to 'break' someone by alternating 16 hours of music and lights with four hours of silence and darkness.

Ruhal Ahmed, a Briton who was captured in Afghanistan, describes excruciating sessions at Guantanamo Bay.

He said his hands were shackled to his feet, which were shackled to the floor, forcing him into a painful squat for periods of up to two days.

'You're in agony,' Ahmed, who was released without charge in 2004, told Reprieve.

He said the agony was compounded when music was introduced, because 'before you could actually concentrate on something else, try to make yourself focus on some other things in your life that you did before and take that pain away.

'It makes you feel like you are going mad,' he said.

Not all of the music is hard rock. Christopher Cerf, who wrote music for 'Sesame Street,' said he was horrified to learn songs from the children's TV show were used in interrogations.

'I wouldn't want my music to be a party to that,' he said.

Bob Singleton, whose song 'I Love You' is beloved by legions of Barney fans, wrote in a newspaper opinion column that any music can become unbearable if played loudly for long stretches.

'It's absolutely ludicrous,' he wrote in the Los Angeles Times. 'A song that was designed to make little children feel safe and loved was somehow going to threaten the mental state of adults and drive them to the emotional breaking point?'

Morello, of Rage Against the Machine, has been especially forceful in denouncing the practice. During a recent concert in San Francisco, he proposed taking revenge on President George W. Bush.

'I suggest that they level Guantanamo Bay, but they keep one small cell and they put Bush in there ... and they blast some Rage Against the Machine,' he said to whoops and cheers.

Some musicians, however, say they're proud that their music is used in interrogations. Those include bassist Stevie Benton, whose group Drowning Pool has performed in Iraq and recorded one of the interrogators' favorites, 'Bodies.'

'People assume we should be offended that somebody in the military thinks our song is annoying enough that played over and over it can psychologically break someone down,' he told Spin magazine.

'I take it as an honor to think that perhaps our song could be used to quell another 9/11 attack or something like that.'

The band's record label said Benton did not want to comment further.

Instead, the band issued a statement reading: 'Drowning Pool is committed to supporting the lives and rights of our troops stationed around the world.'

Vance, in a telephone interview from Chicago, said the tactic can make innocent men go mad. According to a lawsuit he has filed, his jailers said he was being held because his employer was suspected of selling weapons to terrorists and insurgents.

The U.S. military confirms Vance was jailed but won't elaborate because of the lawsuit.

He said he was locked in an overcooled 9ft by 9ft cell that had a speaker with a metal grate over it. Two large speakers stood in the hallway outside. The music was almost constant, mostly hard rock, he said.

'There was a lot of Nine Inch Nails, including 'March of the Pigs,'' he said. 'I couldn't tell you how many times I heard Queen's 'We Will Rock You.''

He wore only a jumpsuit and flip-flops and had no protection from the cold.

'I had no blanket or sheet. If I had, I would probably have tried suicide,' he said. 'I got to a few points toward the end where I thought, 'How can I do this?' Actively plotting, 'How can I get away with it so they don't stop it?''

Asked to describe the experience, Vance said: 'It sort of removes you from you. You can no longer formulate your own thoughts when you're in an environment like that.'

He was released after 97 days. Two years later, he says, 'I keep my home very quiet.'
