People are talking these days about a soap opera, called "Noor," which is produced in Turkey and about its apparent very possible negative influence on society.

Having not seen the soap opera I can only guess, but I have been to American homes in the past, where the housewife pops on the television and can not wait to see a particular soap opera for they just can not seem to wait to see what happened to a particular character and not being rude; I seem to be stuck, with pun intended.

These American soap operas while I have seen bits and pieces over the years, I have never cared for them because they seem to always portray the immoral side of society.

The biggest of the formats seems to be crime, murder, promiscuity and their version of love; can be found at any dime store.

If one asks, if I run to turn the television on to watch these soap opera’s when I am to myself, most assuredly no; to be honest, most I am sorry to say should find there way, into the nearest dumpster.
