Muhammad’s Ascension into Heaven Celebration

Palestinian scouts take part in celebrations marking the Muslim holiday 'Israa and Miraj', the day on which, according to tradition, the prophet Mohammad (PBUH) left Mecca for Jerusalem, from where he ascended to heaven, on 30 July 2008 at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.
