All Palestinians being held prisoner in Israel must be released for there to be peace and security in the region

August 28, 2006

Gaza - Ma'an – All Palestinians being held prisoner in Israel must be released, not just the politicians, demanded the special advisor to the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) on Monday.

During the weekly protest held in Gaza City by the Palestinian Society of Prisoners' Supporters, Tariq Ad Dirawi said that the Palestinians must benefit from the Lebanese experience and demand the release of all Palestinian detainees, not just PLC members and ministers.

A member of the political bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), Salih Zeidan, also delivered a speech in which he said, "There is no way to achieve justice and security in the region except by releasing all the prisoners, especially now that the number has exceeded 10,100 held in Israeli jail."

Scratching My Head in Wonder

by Housewife4Palestine

This article seemed to bring to mind a couple of question’s and after the recent release of the Fox Journalist‘s, to wonder where are the hostages that started the invasion of the occupied territories and Lebanon?

Since many and myself included, felt this was just an excuse on Israel’s part to go war crazy and murder civilian’s on a wide scale; it seems ironic that since the cease fire these hostages in the news seemed to disappear, then again I wonder were their ever any hostages to begin with or better yet; what happened to them if they really did exist?

Why would Nasrallah claim he took the hostages in order to broker an exchange of prisoners if it were not true?

Why would he also later express regret taking the hostages if he had never taken them in the first place?

AICS,

Maybe I expressed my remarks in a manner that wasn’t completely understood, I do not doubt Hizbollah took two men hostage. But since the cool down with the seize fire they seen to be forgotten.

If you have a question for Nasrallah, I do suggest you ask him; I have the opinion he is a very intelligent man. As for any regret’s on his part this I have never heard.

As for Shalit, which allegedly a branch of Hamas was supposedly took before the Israeli invasion into Gaza; I have always believed this was closer to a farce on the Israeli’s part because to much evidence that came afterward brought this to such a conclusion.

Especially with a resistance group, digging that far underground towards a post and not being detected in that kind of terrain, that would be ingenious on the resistance part.

Then again, Shalit disappeared from view.
