Israeli forces increase Palestinian suffering since war on Lebanon began

Posted by Picasa August 13, 2006

Nablus-Ma'an-Israeli Forces beat a young Palestinian man severely in front of his wife and children at the Huwwarah barrier, south of Nablus, on Saturday evening.

Israeli forces at the barrier detained the young in a locked room at the barrier and rejected his wife's pleas for him to released.

Thousands of Palestinians have endured increased suffering at the Huwwarah Barrier since the war between Israel and Hezbollah fighters began. Israeli soldiers at the barrier force Palestinians to wait at the barrier for many hours - sometimes up to six hours - before allowing them to pass through the barrier. The Israeli forces follow strict checking and security procedures and only allow Palestinians who are over the age of forty to pass. The Israeli forces prevent medical crews, journalists, teachers and humanitarian organizations from passing through the barrier.
