Abbas Shovel's in Deep with Enemy as Rice Get's Green Light From Olmert
January 15, 2006
Jerusalem - Ma'an - An agreement was announced on Monday between Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert, and U.S. secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, to hold a three-way summit with Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas.
The meeting is intended to find steps to help bolster Abbas, of Fatah, in his power struggle with 'Hamas Islamists,' who control the government.
According to sources, Olmert described to Rice what she described as ''the recent concessions which Israel have made to Palestinians'' and the ways to back Mahmoud Abbas. Rice also discussed the Iraqi and Iranian situations with Olmert.
