Gaza Strip

A James Longley Documentary

In January of 2001, American director James Longley traveled to the Gaza Strip, planning to stay for two weeks and film preliminary material for a documentary on the Palestinian Intifada.

As the situation on the ground rapidly worsened, Longley threw away his return ticket and filmed for the next three months, acquiting 75 hours of footage.

Gaza Strip, his first feature documentary, is an extraordinary and painful journey into the lives of ordinary Palestinians struggling with the day- to- day trials of the Israeli Occupation.

Filmed in verite style and without scripted narration, Gaza Strip at last gives voice to a population largely ignored by mainstream media.

I lve Munich,

This is a wonderful movie and from what little I was able to see the whole movie.

James Longley that did the movie did an exceptional job and is very worth watching when you have the time.

While some people who are not in favor with the Palestinian cause, I think turned their back on this movie as propaganda, whch it is not and has gotten great praise is the Islamic world, especially among Palestinians a being truthful as well as an honest view into our world.

As for the truth getting out their is as you know many peple trying to do this, but the impact this movie made on it's release was amazing.

I do hope inshaallah people really oen their eyes to the real war and bring real peace.
