MP warns of American-Zionist scheme to foil unity government

February 13, 2007

Gaza - MP Yehya Mousa on Tuesday, commenting on the expected meeting between PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and American secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, said that the USA and Israel were plotting to foil the Palestinian national unity government.

He said, "We doubt the intentions of the USA", which always justifies the Zionist aggressions against the Palestinians.

In a press release, Mousa said that the Abbas-Rice meeting scheduled next Monday would attempt to market the American project in the region and would fall in line with American pressures on the Palestinian people.

The meeting might also incite against the Palestinian national unity government, the lawmaker charged, adding that Israel did not wish for peace in the region but rather works for igniting fire within the Palestinian home in order to go ahead in its excavations at the Aqsa Mosque and to continue in its aggressions without any resistance.

Mousa refused the establishment of a Palestinian state with temporary borders, affirming that Hamas and the Palestinian people refuse such a proposal.
