Islam : a Religion of Peace or Violence?
(TAMPA, FL, 2/2/07) - CAIR Tampa Executive Director Ahmed Bedier spoke about the true nature of Islam at a United Methodist Church in Tampa, Fla. Bedier outlined an introduction to Islam while explaining selected verses in the Quran. Bedier also discussed misconceptionsabout jihad and other stereotypes.

Islam is MOST CERTAINLY a religion of PEACE .. whoever states anything else, has no idea what he/she is talking!

Islam is a religion of absolute Peace it has always been this way.
As to change misconceptions and education this is necessary, but one thing that Islamophobia seems to be doing as it grows like a virus is to make it harder to do this.
It is more to forcing security over helping sometimes especially what is being explained to me coming from America.

If people would only listen with an OPEN mind and not blindly believe what they are force-fed by mass media and TV-preachers ..

I couldn't agree with you more especially after I saw the video I posted last called Full Documentary of "Jesus Camp" .
The woman in the video is telling children Islamophobia propaganda about us and one of the example's is what she said, how we as Palestinians raise our children which is not true. I would never put one of my children in harm, such as put a hand grenade in their hands.
I was going OMG, especially the way these in the video are being brainwashed, I would hope that this is not the future America.
As for doing parts these people really need help before it is to late, I would cerntainly help. But it also makes me think that if their is these kinds of people plus the plain old racist, that all they are trying to do is hurt anyone in Islam, which would make me feel more isolated to knowing what to do to help these people.
Stange about new information sometimes, it takes a little time to understand what to do or how to help.
Like an old dog did learn a new trick. :(
