De facto Government in Gaza Calls for Boycott of Autumn Peace Summit
Gaza – Ma'an – The Palestinian de facto government in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday held its weekly cabinet session and called for the boycott of the US-sponsored autumn peace summit scheduled for mid-November.
The government warned that the autumn conference could initiate normalization with the Israelis, and urged Arabs, particularly Saudi Arabia to avoid that "dusky tunnel".
At the same time, the government affirmed its adherence to Palestinian rights, especially the right of return for Palestinian refugees and the right to restore Jerusalem as a property of the whole nation.
The government also condemned the "aggression" of the Palestinian security towards Hamas members and institutions in the West Bank.
