Truman’s Popularity with the American People

U.S. President George W. Bush mentioned in his speech to the Knesset yesterday, a reference to Harry S. Truman, so it was only befitting to look at Truman’s popularity at the time he was President with the American public's opinion.

Truman was 33rd U.S. President (1945–1953), public opinion ratings reached the lowest of any U.S. President, until George W. Bush in 2008.

Famous attributes, for Truman was the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, strikes and economic upheaval, racism, cold war, among many others.

There is an historical opinion, that Truman allowed at the last moment the final vote for the “State of Israel,” because he wanted Jewish refugee’s from the Holocaust off American soil.

Truman furthermore, set-up the initial scheme in 1945 to watch and then in 1947 when it was felt necessary by the U.S. government, to exterminate the Palestine Royal family, with the intent to destroy the Palestinian government.

Truman was worse then the 37th U.S. President Richard M. Nixon and to think Nixon resigned by some views and others he was impeached. Nixon is known for the Watergate Scandal.
