For the Sake of Mariya

Seven year-old Palestinian girl Mariya Aman, who is paralyzed from her neck down after a Jewish missile struck her family's car in the Gaza Strip in 2006; during the war, arrives along with her father (L) for a hearing at the Supreme Court in Jerusalem on 8 July 2008. Jewish Supreme Court delayed today a decision to transfer to this Palestinian girl. Mariya was severely wounded in May 2006 and she has since been on a respirator at a hospital in Jerusalem, but the Jewish defense ministry has proposed that she be sent to a hospital in Ramallah.

From my understanding the Aman family in the two years they have been in Jerusalem have been good productive citizens within their neighborhood, while caring for there daughter in the hospital.

Whether it was said to be harmful to the child to move her, I do not have all the information on her condition; other then I do know something of patients that usually are in such a condition and I do know either of the two hospitals are very equipped to care for Mariya.

It is my recommendations that Mariya Aman, along with her family be allowed to stay in Jerusalem, for there is no further need to uproot and disrupt this families lives.
