A man shot dead by US troops near Iran's Embassy in Kabul

Kabul-At least one man was shot dead and several others were injured by US troops near Iran's Embassy in Kabul on Monday, informed sources said.

Meanwhile, spokesman for Afghanistan's Interior Ministry Zemarai Bashary confirmed the report in an interview with IRNA saying that the number of victims would be announced later.

The informed sources also added that the shooting took place when a US army vehicle opened fire on a civilian vehicle.

Some security sources of Afghanistan also said that a number of Afghan security officers were also among the victims.

The sources added that there were clashes between Afghanistan's National Security forces and the US troops after the shooting.

Streets leading to Iran's Embassy were closed to public after the incident.
