Jewish Actress in Dan Brown inspired Movie

Ayelet Zurer, one of the most acclaimed actresses in her home country, who comes from Tel Aviv, is playing the major role of Vittoria Vetra in the movie. While I personally, do not know her work, I am sure she is an excellent actress and hope to know of her better in the future.

Tom Hanks, while I may not have agreed with some of is early day comedies and no disrespect to him, because he has became one of the finest actors in Hollywood and several of his more dramatic roles, I have enjoyed immensely.

Director Ron Howard, I have followed his career since he was a child actor and have always found him not having just been a formable actor, but in numerous cases an exceptional director as well.

Indiana Jones cracks whip at box office opening

Los Angeles: Actor Harrison Ford cracked the box-office whip as his latest Indiana Jones movie grossed a hefty $25 million from its first day in North American cinemas, independent industry analysts reported on Friday.

The takings make it the fourth highest-grossing Thursday debut on record and bodes well for a movie industry looking to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to help shake the movie business out an early summer slump.

However, analysts were unsure whether the highly anticipated adventure movie is on track to overtake last year's Pirates of the Caribbean film as the biggest opening on a US Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Crystal Skull, directed by Steven Spielberg, is the fourth movie in the beloved and lucrative movie franchise that began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, and is the first to hit the big screen in 19 years.

The three previous Indiana Jones movies have collectively grossed more than $1.2 billion in ticket sales worldwide.

In the latest film, Ford, 65, reprises his title role as the whip-cracking archaeologist who hates snakes, and is reunited with actress Karen Allen, his co-star from the first adventure. Set during the 1950s Cold War era, the story pits him against an evil KGB agent played by Cate Blanchett in a race to find a skull endowed with mystic powers.

A Day with Indy

Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to see the new Indiana Jones movie and found it very entertaining. The whole movie kept one wondering what was to happen next.

While I am not usually a fan of things extraterrestrial, which I found a bit different for this sort of movie, I think because it was much unexpected. Nevertheless, as old as I am, I had never seen anything from another planet in reality, is why this type of story line was to be found a bit out of the ordinary.

However, I would have to say, it was one of those movies, a person would wish to see more then once, like Indy’s predecessors.

Furthermore, it tended to not just be an adventure movie, but also a type of family reunion with some of the character’s and while some of the story line was a surprise, it had a very happy conclusion with the idea of possibly more visits in the future.

In this fourth installment of the serial about Indy, is anything like the other three, it is going to be another great adventure.

Many fans have waited years, wondering what Indy was to grace their eyes with next and if there would be another movie, there wait is now over.

In addition, it is thought because of the long wait for this movie, at the Cannes Film Festival, the media was giving it mixed reviews, but as any movie watcher knows, seeing is deciding.

Shortly after the Six-Day War in 1967, Danae’s Jewish parents, the famous author Amos Elon, and former literary agent Beth Elon, hired Musa Obeidallah, the Muslim father of eleven children, to take care of their six-month old daughter on a daily basis. Musa commuted from Palestine to his job in Jerusalem for the next twenty years, until Danae moved to New York to study at NYU Film School. Education was also on Musa’s mind. With the money he earned, he sent his sons to study and make their careers in America. Note:

It was common for quite sometime for Palestinians to take labor jobs, as waiters, babysitter’s and so forth within Israel; that the Israel’s did not wish to do.

I was told once that these type of jobs, was considered beneath the Israeli’s to do for themselves.

Furthermore, I do not doubt Danae Elon sincerity, but these kinds of situations will always be put into question.
