Survival after Gustav

by HRM Deborah

While even through my evacuation where I was given no aid as a foreign dignitary which is normally any governments courtesy and I followed what was expected within the guidelines of my imprisonment as was expected in good faith of myself with the U.S. government; to furthermore, since my return to my living quarters with the limited means of survival due to Hurricane Gustav.

It has always been that I am only allowed to go to very few places especially a market to get food and most of these places are closed or have very limited resources, my situation has become dire to my survival.

While I do not know what the future would be in the opening of these limited places, it is a hope that I do survive long enough and in keeping within the guidelines of my imprisonment for the sake of goodwill to everyone.

At this time, I am very weak and suffering several complications due to lack of proper care, especially food to severe dehydration; because I am doing what is expected of me as a prisoner.

Nevertheless, while it is wonderful that some aid is being given to New Orleanians, I also know; I am not allowed to go to these places. As to other said aid services, it also has been explained that these also do not apply to the guidelines of my imprisonment.

It should be further reminded; I have been imprisoned for over 50 years and it has been brought to my attention, that it is in the U.S. government’s best interest that I stay alive.

Bush on Oil Not For Helping Gulf Coast

U.S. President George W. Bush walks toward Marine One while departing the White House, on 4 September 2008 in Washington DC. Bush and first lady Laura Bush are traveling to Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland. After Bush tremendous mistakes after Hurricane Katrina, created so much distrust because of his lack of progress in helping the Gulf coast; that when Hurricane Gustav slammed landfall, that it is considered Bush’s lackluster aid to desperate Americans was again more in helping themselves and Bush hiding in the curtain wings.

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
September 6, 2008

Audio
THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Throughout the past week, Americans anxiously watched weather conditions in the Gulf Coast region. The people of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas were well prepared for Hurricane Gustav -- and the coordination between these States and the Federal government was strong.

Now, we're focusing on the relief effort. Gustav caused damage to infrastructure, forced tens of thousands into shelters, and left more than a million people without power. The Federal government is working with State and local officials to repair this damage, to help residents get back home, and to return life in the region to normal as soon as possible.

While these relief efforts have been in progress, we've also been preparing for the arrival of storms like Hanna, Ike, and others that may follow. My Administration will continue to provide assistance to those affected by violent weather throughout this hurricane season. And we will continue to work diligently to coordinate our emergency response efforts with State and local governments.

While the Federal government continues this vital work, there are also important responsibilities awaiting members of Congress as they return to Washington. In just a few weeks, members will be back out on the campaign trail, emphasizing the differences between the two parties. But before they leave Washington, they should show that they can work together on bipartisan measures to help strengthen America's economy: measures like approving the Colombia and Korean free trade agreements, extending relief from the Alternative Minimum Tax, and addressing one of the American people's biggest concerns -- the high price of gasoline.

The fundamental reason for high gasoline prices is that the supply of oil is not keeping pace with demand. By increasing supply through the use of our domestic resources, we can begin reducing the pressure on prices. So in June, I called on Congress to open up more of America's domestic oil resources for exploration -- including offshore exploration of the Outer Continental Shelf. The American people overwhelmingly support this proposal. But throughout the summer, the leaders of the Democratic Congress refused to allow it to come to a vote.

At the very least, Congress should take action on three common-sense energy solutions that enjoy bipartisan support.

First, Congress should open the way for environmentally responsible offshore exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf. Experts believe that these areas could eventually produce nearly 10 years' worth of America's current annual oil production. This exploration is now banned by a provision included in the annual interior appropriations bill. Congress should remove this restriction immediately.

Second, Congress should expand access to oil shale -- a domestic resource that could produce the equivalent of more than a century's worth of imports at current levels. Last year, however, Democratic leaders slipped a provision blocking oil shale leasing on Federal lands into an omnibus spending bill. They should lift that ban immediately.

Third, Congress should extend renewable power tax credits to spur the development of alternative sources of energy like wind and solar. They should make these credits long term and expand them to cover all forms of low-emission power generation -- including nuclear power. In the long run, increasing production of low-carbon electricity can help us reduce our addiction to oil by allowing us to power a new generation of plug-in hybrid and hydrogen-powered vehicles.

This Congress has earned a reputation as one of the least productive in history. Throughout this year, Democratic leaders have ignored the public's demand for relief from high energy prices. This is their final chance to take action before the November elections. If members of Congress do not support the American people at the gas pump, then they should not expect the American people to support them at the ballot box.

Thank you for listening.

Ayatollah Jannati advises Iraqis not to bow to humiliating pact

5 September 2008

Tehran-Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati on Friday advised Iraqi people and officials not to bow to humiliation through signing a pact with the US.

Delivering his second Friday prayers sermons to large groups of worshippers at Tehran University campus, Ayatollah Jannati said under the deal, the occupying forces will from 2009 to 2011 evacuate Iraqi cities and move to garrisons.

Ayatollah Jannati said that additionally, occupying forces and the institutions relating to them will under the pact remain immune.

"The agreement envisions immunity in garrisons and their institutions in Iraq and they will be allowed to re-do whatever they can," said Ayatollah Jannati.

He said Iraqi people and authorities should not be under yoke of such a humiliation.

"God does not accept humiliation of a Muslim. The humiliation will be transferred to other generations. If you accept the agreement, Americans will never leave the country then," he added.

The cleric said any move in Iraq should be in accordance with public wishes and consent and supported by the Shiite clerics.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Jannati called on the media not to depreciate and undermine government's "big and fundamental" economic development plan and present fair and expert-level views on it.

"Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution has in his remarks repeatedly hailed the plan as a master plan which cannot be handled without courage and bravery," he said.

He added that if the plan is implemented there will be a big evelopment in the country, many shortcomings will be removed and a relative welfare will be brought about as a result.

In his first sermon, Ayatollah Jannati said enemies have concentrated all their efforts to encounter Islam, Iran's Islamic Revolution and the country's Islamic establishment.

"Enemy has today targeted our country and revolution politically, economically and culturally. Patience and tolerance are the only way to solve problems and foil the enemy plot," he noted.

Canaanites Media Propaganda for Abbas Vote

By HRM Deborah

What is humorous is I happened to see a media propaganda piece about elections in Palestine among the Palestinians and the Canaanites, which is actually an impossibility; because we do not have elections.

So those Canaanites saying they would vote for global terrorist, Interpol fugitive Mahmoud Abbas, they need to rethink there position and also review what it means to be not only a non-citizen in the country; but what it means to still be living under the same monarchial government system, since 9,000 B.C.

As to Abbas having any capacity in government is unacceptable in any manner nor has he ever been apart of government and this comes from the one person that has the right to say so.
As to those people associating themselves with Abbas, thinking he is apart of the government in Palestine, I am sorry to say; Abbas is trying to dupe them for he has never been a government official.

Furthermore, as for Abbas being illegally at the 34th annual session of the World Economy and Politics Forum, he should be done what was threatened of people in New Orleans if they did not evacuate from Hurricane Gustav and this is to grab him by the back of the shirt collar and the seat of the pants and throw his sorry self out the backdoor so fast; that Abbas will take a few minutes to realize he is bouncing down the pavement. For it is assured, no one wishes that criminal windbag there.

Bush Just the Same on Hurricane Gustav

U.S. President George W. Bush greets personnel working at the Emergency Operations Center, on 3 September 2008 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Bush was said to have toured storm-scarred Louisiana Wednesday to survey damage from Hurricane Gustav, as far as actually seeing the damage, Bush saw it from afar in the luxury of air conditioning; unlike the many American’s who are still suffering from the affects of Hurricane Gustav.

On this same day, hundreds of thousands who fled the storm where given the approval, to return towards there home‘s; which I was one of the people, returning late in the evening through very congested traffic, to find my home undamaged, accept there was no electric, which was very understandable under the circumstances.

From the few people I have talked to since I came back, it appears everyone is happy to have returned, with a few complaints of lack of electric in this area, but I for one am very happy with how hard all the workman seem to be trying to make everything more livable again.

In other cities in Louisiana, people are not doing so well from my understanding with many complaints and some people not expected to have electric for over a month at least; among other issues.

Without air conditioning and the high humidity, it is like sitting in an oven waiting for the electric; after two days, mine finally just came on, I did laugh yesterday, because the electric did come on with people cheering to only last one minute; then one could here the down turned sign of regret.

U.S. President George W. Bush speaks with federal, state and local officials at the Louisiana Emergency Operations Center in Baton Rouge, 3 September 2008, where he was briefed in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav. Gustav was a Category 2 hurricane when it made landfall Monday. At the request of Gov. Bobby Jindal, center, Bush Tuesday issued a Major Disaster Declaration for 34 of the state's parishes. Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden listens at right. From numerous broadcasts and White House web site, Bush seemed to be more interest in the Oil situation; then human lives in Louisiana.

Accept for one area, where the water did come over the levee, damage from this hurricane, appears to be more minimal than what was expected; with just what appears to be mostly wind damage and one area did have extensive flooding, from my understanding; as well as it is hard in some area’s to find necessary food, but many that I have talked to while it may not be steak, are trying to get by with what can be found. Which for some including myself, are suffering from not eating good and severe dehydration, which I am slowly recovering.

As to my other adventures through Hurricane Gustav, I’ll save that for another day.
