Obama a Future Extension of Bush’s House

US President George W. Bush makes remarks on the presidential transition as Vice President Dick Cheney (R) listens at the South Lawn of the White House, on 6 November 2008; in Washington, DC. It appears that Alcoholism has taken more of a toll on Bush; then his terrorist, criminal activities have; while in the White House.

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
November 8, 2008

Audio
THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Earlier this week, more than 120 million Americans went to the polls and voted for a new President and Congress. No matter how we cast our ballots, all Americans have reason to be proud of our democracy. Our citizens have chosen a President who represents a triumph of the American story -- a testament to hard work, optimism, and faith in the enduring promise of our Nation.

When I called President-Elect Obama to congratulate him on his historic victory, I told him that he can count on my complete cooperation as he makes his transition to the White House. Ensuring that this transition is seamless is a top priority for the rest of my time in office. Our country faces economic challenges that will not pause to let a new President settle in. This will also be America's first wartime presidential transition in four decades. We're in a struggle against violent extremists determined to attack us -- and they would like nothing more than to exploit this period of change to harm the American people.

So my Administration will work hard to ensure that the next President and his team can hit the ground running. For more than a year now, the White House and agencies throughout the Federal government have been preparing for a smooth transition. We've provided intelligence briefings to the President-Elect, and the Department of Justice has approved security clearances for members of his transition staff. In the coming weeks, we will ask Administration officials to brief the Obama team on major ongoing policy issues, ranging from the financial markets to the war in Iraq. I will keep the President-Elect fully informed on important decisions during this critical time for our Nation. Taken together, these measures represent an unprecedented effort to ensure continuity throughout the executive branch.

A successful transition is just one of the many important tasks remaining for my Administration. Yesterday we learned that America's economy lost jobs in the month of October, and I will continue working hard to return our Nation to the path of prosperity and growth. To help address the global financial crisis, my Administration will host an historic international summit in Washington on November 15. We will also keep urging Congress to approve America's free trade agreements with Colombia and Panama and South Korea. We will continue working to defeat the terrorists and extremists abroad, to keep the American people safe here at home.

Americans expect their President to conduct the people's business. I will continue to uphold this solemn obligation for as long as this office remains in my trust. In the meantime, I join the American people in wishing President-Elect Obama every success. Laura and I wish the Obama family as much joy and happiness as our family has found in this wonderful house.

Thank you for listening.

Obama expected to make strategic changes in US foreign policy

8 November 2008

Tehran-Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Saturday that the US president-elect Barack Obama is expected to make strategic changes in the US foreign policy.

Addressing a local seminar, he said that Obama is expected to send correct signals to the regional nations.

Obama can understand that change does not mean a change of color or superficial developments, but it has to do with strategic policies.

Referring to Obama's recent remarks on Iran's peaceful nuclear program, he said it represents pursuit of the same erroneous policy of the past.

If Washington wants to change the situation in the region, it should send correct and appropriate signals to the regional states, the Iranian Majlis speaker said.

Obama became the first US African-American president to ever conquer the White House as his Republican rival John McCain conceded the presidential race to him after he triumphed 349 electoral votes to McCain.

Obama, 47, is the son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas.

His inauguration, as the 44th US president, will be held on January 20, 2009.

Bushonomics: GM, Ford post huge losses as crisis deepens

GM suspends talks to acquire Chrysler, warns it’srunning out of cash

7 November 2008

DETROIT - General Motors and Ford reported Friday that they hemorrhaged cash in the third quarter, offering more evidence that the nation’s automobile industry is on the brink of a meltdown.

GM said it lost $2.5 billion in the third quarter and warned that it could run out of cash in 2009. The nation’s biggest automaker also said it has suspended talks to acquire its smaller U.S. rival Chrysler.

Ford, meanwhile, said it lost $129 million in the third quarter and will eliminate another 2,260 white-collar jobs as it battles the economic downturn, credit crisis and weak environment for car sales. Ford burned through $7.7 billion in cash in the quarter.

“The third quarter was especially challenging for the auto industry," GM Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner said in a statement. "Consumer spending, which represents close to 70 percent of the U.S. economy, fell dramatically, and the abrupt closure of credit markets created a downward spiral in vehicle sales.”

GM's loss exceeded Wall Street estimates, and the company announced a range of moves to improve its financial position.

But the company surprised Wall Street by announcing it had suspended talks to acquire Chrysler. GM did not refer to Chrysler by name but said it had set aside considerations for a “strategic acquisition.”

“While the acquisition could potentially have provided significant benefits, the company has concluded that it is more important at the present time to focus on its immediate liquidity challenges and, accordingly, considerations of such a transaction as a near-term priority have been set aside,” the company said in a statement.

Privately held Chrysler declined to comment on GM’s statement, but added it remains focused on returning to profitability.

GM announced it would improve liquidity by $5 billion by the end of next year by cutting capital spending, reducing sales promotions and further cutting production in the first quarter.

About 3,600 workers will be laid off indefinitely beginning early next year as the automaker slows down production at 10 of its assembly plants.

The company also suspended its matching contribution for employee 401(k) plans and suspended tuition reimbursement. In addition, salaried employees will not get incentive pay next year for their work in 2008, GM said.

In a conference call with reporters and analysts, Wagoner said the company will “take every action we possibly can” to avoid bankruptcy.

“We’re convinced that the consequences of bankruptcy would be dire,” he said. “We need to find a way to get through this, and that’s really our focus.”

Ford said it lost 6 cents per share for the quarter, compared with a loss of $380 million, or 19 cents per share, a year ago.

“While Ford has been dramatically affected by the difficult business environment, we remain absolutely convinced that we have the right plan and are taking the right actions to weather this difficult period and emerge as a lean, globally integrated company poised for long-term profitable growth,” Alan Mulally, president and chief executive, told industry analysts during a teleconference.

GM reported a net loss of $4.45 per share during the quarter, compared with a record-setting loss of $39 billion, or $68.85 per share, a year ago. Revenue fell to $37.9 billion from $43.7 billion, due largely to the global credit crisis.

GM said it had $16.2 billion in cash, marketable securities and readily available assets at the end of September, down $4.8 billion from the $21 billion it reported on June 30. Wagoner reiterated that the company needs a minimum of $11 billion to $14billion to operate.

Ford posted a pretax loss of $2.7 billion from continuing operations. But it was offset partly by a $2 billion gain as the company shifted retiree health care liabilities to a trust run by the United Auto Workers.

Ford’s global automotive operations had a pretax loss of $2.9 billion for the quarter, compared with a pretax loss of $362 million a year earlier.

Ford Chief Financial Officer Lewis Booth would not say if he expects the cash burn rate will continue at the present levels, but said he was confident the company can make it through 2009.

“With our present assumptions, we are comfortable with our liquidity position,” Booth told reporters. “I think it goes without saying, forecasting the future at the moment is extremely difficult. Trying to find out just exactly what is happening with the consumer is really tough.”

Industry analysts say that if the economy doesn’t improve, Ford could run out of money sometime after 2010.

Ford's job cuts equate to about 10 percent of its North American salaried work force of 22,600. It will reduce the work force primarily through personnel reductions and attrition, Mulally said.

It also said it has no plans to offer more buyout or early retirement packages to blue-collar workers.

The automaker started the year with 89,000 employees in North America but reduced that number to 80,200 as of Sept. 30 through attrition, hirings, buyouts and layoffs.

Bush, Obama to Meet Monday

8 November 2008

US President George W. Bush will meet with Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Monday to discuss the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and other challenges the new administration will face in January, officials said yesterday.

First lady Laura Bush also will give Michelle Obama a tour of the White House residence that afternoon, Bush administration officials said.

The event will mark the first meeting between the departing and illegally incoming presidents since Obama was illegally elected Tuesday, and it underscores how rapidly the complex transition process is unfolding in a time of war and financial crisis.

No recent president-elect from an opposing party has been received at the White House so soon after an election, with Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter all taking two weeks or more to visit.

As well as this situation beings to mind, how Bush use to makes such horrendous remarks behind Obama’s back.

Bush Committed Vote Tampering in Iraq?

US soldiers listen to an address by US president George W. Bush during their US Citizen Naturalization ceremony at Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq; on 4 November 2008. Some 186 men and women became US citizens today as Americans begin to go to the polls to vote in national elections.

Being in the US military, it is thought they would already be US citizens and the contention that this ceremony is in question, due to strong possibility of election vote tampering. Which if this is the case, it is considered a very serious crime; on Bush’s part.

To further create not only a questionable election, but the possibility of invalidating it all together; by putting this election in the same category as getting the names off of a headstone type of situation. By US law, for a naturalized citizen to be able to vote, they had to be a citizen longer then the green card still being ink wet to be eligible to vote in any given US election.

Update:

It was reported, that Bush actually did tamper with the election as mentioned above, so in this case, 'President-elect Barack Obama;' is not true; because this election was rigged or the ballot box considered illegally stuffed and for Obama to further accept under these circumstances, would but his position in illegal question for continued acceptance in an illegal election or that he was involved with Bush.

In which case, one or both needs a jail cell.

Bushonomics: The Eagle Wounding the Global Economy

7 November 2008

The dollar fell against the Euro and Yen in European trading on Friday ahead of key jobs data from the US, which has collapsed into a full Depression without admittance by the US.

Many investors were bracing for Friday's report on US payrolls for October to show an additional loss of 200,000 jobs following a string of downbeat economic data and earnings reports.

The strangling US economy had lost 159,000 jobs in September as the credit crunch and collapsed economy, further batters US industries.

It is becoming an increased awakening that the US collapsed economy is creating a bigger impact on the global economy then may have been first thought and some global economists’ contention that tying themselves originally with the US stock market, was a grave mistake.

Greenhouse Experiment for Self Sufficiency

Raja Ahmed Zaqzuk, a 48-year-old Palestinian woman, confers with CARE field worker Maisa Shquier (R) in her greenhouse, on 11 September 2008; in Al Jadida village near Jenin.

Zaqzuk, is apart of an experiment for self sufficiency by growing seasonal vegetables and fruit in a environmentally friendly greenhouse supplied and supported by CARE in a project which is funded by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Office.

While some contend that this project is for needy families, it has been reported as strictly and experiment for self sufficiency which is becoming more of a global project alternative for stabilization for countries that are actually improvised.

These types of projects are very important in Palestine, with the belief of helping to better certain problems such as the global food crisis in third and forth world countries; to have a chance at better lives and living conditions.

For it is a firm belief not just in Islam, but also Judaism; to always help one’s fellowman in what ever there need may be.

Bush's Dog Barney Bites Media Reporter

6 November 2008

Sure, President Bush looks like he's dealing with the looming White House transition just fine, but apparently his dog Barney is having some issues.

Anne Schroeder Mullins at Politico reports, "Barney the Dog, that rambunctious little Scottie, bit a WH reporter today."

Reuters Reporter Jon Decker was treated by white House medical staff, because Barney had broke the skin and there was blood.

Commentary:

Barney seems to be what some people term, ‘fear biting’ and the only time personally, I have known a dog to do this; they are being subjected to some form of animal cruelty, usually by the owner.

I saved a dog years ago from being killed, because of his biting people out of fear for he had been severely abused. This dogs biting problem and a few others from his mistreatment diminished after about a year, with giving the dog a happy life.

Which even when he got in advanced age, he liked to take long morning walks just to himself; for he had a large yard at that time to walk in.

After saving this dog legally from an abusive owner, I had him for several years after. He passed away a very old dog, at 19 years old.

Kramer meet's with Foreign Journalists' Association

A very friendly looking Stephan Kramer with a nice smile, is General Secretary of the Central Council of Jews in Germany (Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland).

Here Kramer poses for a brief portrait next to some pleasant greenery, before meeting with the Foreign Journalists' Association, on 6 November 2008 in Berlin, Germany.

The Central Council of Jews is the biggest and most influential Jewish organization in Germany.

Mr. Kramer for some reason reminds me of a boy in one neighborhood where I lived when I was about six years old, we went to the same school; for in Southern California it was required to go to kindergarten and nevertheless, we where friends until we had to move.

This particular class in school, if you where Arab, Jewish or Hispanic the other children did not seem to like us, so we all became friends together.

Furthermore, this boys father use to collect and refurbish antique cars and lived in a very nice home.

Something else I happened to remember, is this boy came to visit my home when it was just Mother and I one time around the 14 of February; I had caught an illness that was going around in school and he wanted to know how I was. He seemed to be very concerned that I was sick and wanted me to know, that he hoped I got better very quickly.
Also, he made a very good impression on my mother, she thought he was a very nice, good boy and was happy we where friends; she came to this conclusion I think, on the day he came when I was sick.

All these years, I always wondered what became of my childhood friend and if he has a happy life and have wished him much happiness, for the kindness he shared when we where children. Just think this has been almost forty-five years ago.

Nevertheless, I even still remember sitting in the ‘block room’ building bridges with the wooden block’s; to further understood that my friend and I would always be good friends no matter where we should be in life, which has always been wonderful thoughts to hold unto. For school or where ever we use to be, we could always count and watch out for each other no matter what.-HRM Deborah

NICOSIA – A dozen European politicians, most of them British, plan to travel aboard the next ship sailing from Cyprus to breach the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip, organisers told AFP Wednesday.

After completing a second successful attempt last week, peace activists will ferry the politicians to the Islamist-ruled territory on Friday to assess the humanitarian crisis there.

Parliamentarians from Italy, Switzerland and Ireland will also be on board.

The 20-foot "Dignity" is set to depart the southern port of Larnaca and would also carry more medical supplies and equipment.

The movement is organising the trip because it said Egypt refused access to Gaza across its border to 53 international parliamentarians.

"Egypt did not allow us to enter Gaza via the Rafah terminal, but this will not stop us from visiting the area. We shall break the siege," said Lord Nazir Ahmad, head of the delegation.

British MP Clare Short, a former minister for international development, said "the Egyptian refusal to grant us access through Rafah crossing is insulting to all of us, and Egypt should open the crossing now."

The politicians will visit hospitals and deliver a tonne of medical supplies.

They also plan to meet with some of the 700 students who have been denied the right to leave Gaza and study at universities that have accepted them.

This voyage will be the third such trip to Gaza in as many months to protest against the Israeli sanctions imposed after the Islamist Hamas movement seized power there in June 2007.

Free Gaza first made the crossing in August to highlight the plight of the impoverished territory's 1.5 million residents.

Israel had warned the activists ahead of both journeys not to enter the closed military zone it maintains around the Gaza Strip but did not obstruct either voyage.

Israel has sealed Gaza off from all but limited humanitarian aid since Hamas -- which is sworn to Israel's destruction -- drove out forces loyal to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in a week of deadly street fighting.

Bushonomics: Government selling $55B in bonds next week

5 November 2008

WASHINGTON – The government will sell $55 billion in bonds next week as part of a massive borrowing to pay for its financial rescue programs.

The Treasury Department said Wednesday it is bringing back its three-year notes, selling them monthly to help cover the increased borrowing needs, and will auction $25 billion of them on Monday. The government also will offer $20 billion in 10-year notes next Wednesday, and $10 billion in 29 3/4-year bonds on Thursday.

The government plans to borrow a record $550 billion in the last three months of the year to help pay for the various financial rescue packages put into effect in response to the global crisis. Officials project that the government will need to borrow an additional $368 billion in the first quarter of 2009, putting a sea of red ink in front of the incoming president, Barack Obama.

The Treasury also said it will offer 10-year notes in December and January.

The balance of financing requirements will be met by offering weekly Treasury bills, monthly 52-week bills, monthly two-year, three-year and five-year notes, and 10-year and 20-year securities, the department said.

The borrowing is needed pay for the array of government initiatives: The $700 billion rescue program enacted in early October; efforts by the Federal Reserve to bolster banks' balance sheets which have required it to use Treasury's borrowing resources; and the need of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. for funds to deal with a rising number of bank failures.

"Over the last several months, changes in economic conditions, financial markets and fiscal policy ... have contributed to an increase in Treasury's marketable borrowing needs," Karthik Ramanathan, the department's acting assistant secretary for financial markets, said in a statement.

In May 2007, shrinking deficits and smaller borrowing needs led the government to cease sales of the three-year notes. Now the financial rescue programs will force the government to borrow unprecedented amounts as the budget deficit climbs to record heights.

The Bush administration in July forecast that the deficit for the current budget year, which began Oct. 1, would hit a record $482 billion. But that forecast didn't include all the government's efforts since then to deal with the worst financial crisis since the 1930s.

The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Budget estimates all the government economic and rescue initiatives, starting with the $168 billion in stimulus checks issued earlier this year, total an eye-popping $2.6 trillion.

Supporters of the government rescue packages argue that the ultimate cost to taxpayers should end up being a lot smaller, partly because the Federal Reserve is extending loans to banks that should be paid back.

And in the case of the $700 billion rescue package, the government is buying assets — either bank stock or distressed mortgage-backed assets — that it hopes will rebound in value once the crisis has passed.

But the government still needs to borrow massive amounts to buy the assets, an effort that has driven up borrowing costs.

Archaeologists Discover Former Queen of Palestine Burial Chamber

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced the finds after recent excavations of a former Queen of Palestine's Burial Chamber showing she was buried with fifty tortoises, the near-compete pelvis of a leopard, the wing tip of a golden eagle, the tail of a cow, two marten skulls and the forearm of a wild.

In addition, a human foot belonging a Mesopotamian man who was substantially larger than the interred Queen was also found in the burial chamber.

The university said the burial is thought to be one of the earliest known from the archaeological record and at first mistakenly thought the grave was the only shaman grave in the whole region; not realizing there has never been shaman’s in the Middle East, let alone Palestine.

Something that may need to be reminded in the history of Palestine, that people especially though’s greatly revered where always interred in caves and below grown burials where nearly unheard of.

Also the area where the Queen was interred is a reminder of something very important to the royal family, especially myself. ‘If one see’s the mountains in the distance, they will reach Paradise,’ for mountains where also considered a place of safety.
Shows tortoise shells around the Queens burial chamber.

Here shows a pair of tortoise shells, part of the exceptional funerary offerings recovered from the Queens burial chamber.

“The wing tip of a golden eagle,” was because a golden eagle is another bird that comes from Paradise.
When I was in my more early 30’s, I had been reading about these particular eagles and later prayed for Allah (God) to show me one, also one needs to know these particular eagles are on the endangered list for the US.
Needless to say, one day when I was in the back seat of the car on the way to market with my parents; I happened to look out the window and saw a golden eagle sitting on a fence and how majestic they where; too also my memory, actually a very large bird.
After we had later came home and I was alone with my mother, I explained what I saw, she told me that I was the one person that will see golden eagle‘s. Which I will admit at the time, I wondered why me because in that particular time was when I felt so very unimportant and despised because of my mistreatments and give or take a year; was when my mother confided in me that she was ill, to later learn she had been poisoned.

Other Burial Items Identification:
Cow: Purification
Fifty tortoises: Extreme Longevity
Pelvis of a leopard: Agile, Swiftness
Two marten skulls: High Intelligence
Forearm of a wild: Swiftness

Pooh sketch makes $50,000

An oval pencil drawing of Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet, by E. H. Shepard, is seen in this undated handout photograph, received in London, on 4 November 2008.

4 November 2008

LONDON– An original drawing of A.A. Milne's popular children's characters Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger and Piglet fetched 31,200 pounds ($50,000) at auction on Tuesday.

The amount, which includes a 20 percent buyer's premium, comfortably beat pre-sale expectations of up to 20,000 pounds, not including the premium.

The oval pencil sketch by E.H. Shepard, one of children's literature's most famous illustrators, shows Pooh dipping his paw into a pot of honey while sitting at a table as Piglet and Tigger look on.

Auctioneer Bonhams said the successful telephone bidder was from Germany and bought the picture for his wife, a long-time Pooh fan.

On the same day, Sotheby's announced it was offering what it called the finest single collection of Shepard's original drawings for the Pooh books to be sold at auction.

The sale in London on December 17, which also includes a selection of rare Milne books, is expected to fetch 650-930,000 pounds.

The illustrations, from the collections of Stanley J. Seeger and Christopher Cone, are among the most recognizable, including "He went on tracking, and Piglet ... ran after him" depicting Pooh and Piglet turning to each other as they walk away.

It is expected to fetch 40-60,000 pounds.

Also on offer is "Bump, bump, bump - going up the stairs" featuring Christopher Robin dragging his bear by the leg up the stairs beside him. It is valued at 50-70,000 pounds.

Earlier in 2008, Sotheby's set a record for the work of an illustrator at auction when Beatrix Potter's watercolor illustration for the final scene of "The Rabbits' Christmas Party" sequence went under the hammer for 289,250 pounds.

The drawing on sale at Bonhams was a larger version of an illustration entitled "Tiggers don't like honey" which appeared in Milne's "The House at Pooh Corner," one of four books he wrote about the bear in the 1920s.

Other works by Shepard on sale at Bonhams included a first sketch for Kenneth Grahame's "Wind in the Willows," depicting Rat and Mole lounging with a picnic on the riverbank.

It appeared in the published book with the caption: "Now pitch in, old fellow! and the Mole was indeed very glad to obey" and fetched 7,440 pounds, including premium.

Commentary:
Even as old as I am, I am still an avid enjoyer of this silly old bear, known most famously as ‘Winnie the Pooh; because these stories always gave a sense of warm happiness and sometimes a little moral about life, dipped in honey here and there.

Nevertheless, items from this loveable bear being sold at auction for such a price, is actually not surprising. Stories like this about such a loveable old bear, still warms the heart; young or old.

I will even admit I have a copy of the original Pooh on my bedroom dresser, a little worn; but still wonderful. When Hurricane Katrina was coming, he was put in the car along with necessities. What he further reminded me of, is when I found him it was on a day I was going though a period of very great sadness; which every time I saw this Pooh bear I seemed to cheer-up, so one understands, this the time of my first husband's dying and becoming a Martyr.

Even to today, when I think or see that old Pooh bear on my bedroom dresser; I feel happiness, not sorrow. With a bit of an uplift, that gives a foreseeable smile of hope; that just happened to come at a very hard time for me and smiling thinking of honey, for my tea and bread.

If people wonder why I did not learn of Winnie the Pooh until I got older, was because I did not get to read the stories when I was younger like most children and had always wished too; which sometimes in my life, I have had to make-up for the wonderful thing’s people normally got to do, that I couldn’t.

Archeologists Find Burial of Former Queen of Palestine

Archeologists excavating a small cave in northern Palestine have discovered the skeleton of a woman who lived some 12,000 years ago, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced on Tuesday.

The woman in question is not who the Archeologists think she was, she was a former Queen of Palestine; that pre-dates the Islamic period and please, rebury her in the manner that is appropriate to her standing.

The manner of her burial was out of respect to her during that time period and the direction she was laid, so she would see and go to Paradise.
Furthermore, at the time she lived, she was greatly loved by everyone in Palestine.
Nevertheless, this Queen of Palestine was assassinated during the Mesopotamian Conquest, which she was trying to save the Jewish people at that time of being taken into slavery; in Mesopotamia.
The foot is of the Mesopotamian man that murdered her and while it was extremely against her will, the Jewish people where still taken into slavery in Mesopotamia; as is recorded in history.
In further understanding, this Queen was actually buried through great, respectful effort by the Jewish people that where left in Palestine and not by the Arab Palestinians, because of what she was fighting to do to secure the Jews safety.
Down through history, Queen's of Palestine fought and died, trying to save both Jewish and Muslim Palestinians; to the security of Palestine.
The Queen mentioned here, just happened to be one of us.- HRM Deborah

Rabin: A Misunderstood Man that Strived For Real Peace

Jewish Defense Minister Ehud Barak arrives to a Labor party meeting at the Knesset in Jerusalem, on 3 November 2008; as he stands next to a portrait of late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

by
HRM Deborah

Late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin lived and was martyred at a time when Palestine was still in a great turmoil because of the war and what even I know of Rabin, he was a man that had a very good side, which may have been misunderstood because of what was happening so much to people at the time.

Because even I had to learn of the real truth that caused his death and find it admirable that he would do what he was actually trying to do; even if it caused his life and that of my own mother, for what they where actually trying to do from my understanding was very exceptional, with negotiations of peace that would not actually be formulated until thirteen years later.

People like Rabin and HRM Zaytuna, which was my mother, should always be remembered in the annuals of Palestine history; for the remarkable thing they actually were trying to do.

2 more teens abandoned under Neb. safe-haven law

Nebraska state Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha speaks in Lincoln, Neb., Wednesday, 29 October 2008, at a news conference in which Neb. Gov. Dave Heineman announced that he had called a special session of the legislature to fix the state's safe-haven law, which allows parents to abandon children as old as 18. The announcement came a day after a 17-year-old was left at a Lincoln, Neb., hospital, the 23rd child abandoned since the law took effect in July. Gov. Heineman said legislation will be introduced to amend the law so it applies only to infants up to 3 days old. Nebraska's current safe haven law is the only one in the country that lets anyone leave a child as old as 18 at a state-licensed hospital without fear of prosecution for abandonment.

3 November 2008

OMAHA, Neb. – Two more teenagers have been abandoned at Nebraska hospitals under the state's much-criticized safe haven law, bringing the number of mostly older children dropped off to 26 since July, authorities said. The teens, both 16, were left at separate hospitals, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.

One was a girl dropped Sunday afternoon at Midlands Hospital in Papillion and the other a boy abandoned at Children's Hospital in Omaha late Sunday.

Papillion police Lt. Chris Whitted said the girl and her mother had previously lived in Papillion, south of Omaha, before moving to Arizona. He said the mother didn't give a reason for dropping the girl off, but he added: "Obviously, there's concerns about being able to care for her daughter."

He said the girl "was unaware she was being dropped off" and has been placed in state custody.

Todd Landry, director of the state's Division of Children and Family Services for the department, said in a statement Monday that the girl had been a ward of the state of Nebraska from September 2007 to March. In March, a juvenile court judge dismissed the wardship based in part on the mother's desire to relocate to Arizona to be near extended family, Landry said.

The girl was a ward of the state of Arizona from August until sometime in October, Landry said. He said it's the Nebraska department's understanding that an Arizona court agreed to dismiss the case at the request of the mother, who sought to return to Nebraska to have more support from family and friends located here. Landry said he believes the mother and daughter returned to Nebraska just last week.

In the second case, Landry said the boy was left by his father just after midnight Monday. Neither Landry nor hospital officials offered additional details on that case.

Nebraska was the last state to enact a safe-haven law, which is intended to protect unwanted newborns from being abandoned. Some have interpreted the state's law to mean children as old as 18 can be abandoned because it uses the word "child" and doesn't include an age limit.

Health and Human Services officials, however, say they will not take in any children older than 17.

The Legislature plans to tackle the issue at a special session on Nov. 14. Speaker of the Legislature Mike Flood said he'll introduce a bill establishing a 3-day-old age limit.

Note:
The total number of children involved so far is 28, with ages ranging from one years-old to 17 years-old.
While this is just a theory, it is a wonder if part of this situation is due to the collapsed US economy and not just equated with the usual deadbeat parents; that the US has a problem with for many years.

Jewish Children Learning and Having Fun

Jewish Palestinian children play on an old checkpoint gate near a Muslim Palestinian home, unseen was a Muslim Palestinian woman next to these children in the city of Hebron; on 3 November 2008.
Only thing I was a little concerned, is one of the children falling off the gate, getting hurt and having to make that trip to emergency. Just I do not wish anyone to get hurt in an accident.-HRM Deborah

Bushonomics: Bush in the Militarized Flying Zone

US President George W. Bush, onboard Marine One with two extra security helicopter gun ships, arrives back at the White House from a weekend spent at the Camp David, on 2 November 2008; in Washington, DC.

While Bush has put on a front of all is good in Washington, the economic protests have became increasingly heated; especially closer the elections come.

Apparently, Bush must be getting extremely afraid of the American economic protestors, to order flying security gun ships; which is more long the line of Bush threatening to murder Americans.

Nevertheless, this current situation with Bush reminds me of another leader long ago in Rome; and his name of Nero.

Be it ever so crumbly, there's no place like Rome.
Nero, he was the emperor, and the palace was his home.
But he liked to play with matches and for the fire yearned;
So, he burned Rome to ashes and fiddled while it burned.

Roman Emperor Nero (54to 68) was in Rome when it burned for five days and some old historical writings did assert that Nero did start this famous fire and played the fiddle while it burned.

Nero's rule is often associated with tyranny and extravagance, with a number of executions; including his mother and adoptive brother.

He was also known as an early persecutor of Christians before the coliseum.

Nero in numerous respects was not only dysfunctional in the whole scope of his life, but was a great warmonger with intentions at global conquest. When Nero was facing execution after a military coup within his own government, he committed suicide; which is to often the case with these type of people.

Notwithstanding, Nero will always be known as the crazed emperor who "fiddled while Rome burned.”

The only wonder is does Bush know how to play a fiddle, for in a manner of speaking; America is already alit.

Americans Stand up for Your Human Right’s, for You can make the difference!

American school in Syria obeys order to close

Students carry their book bags as they leave the Damascus Community School in Damascus, Syria, on 3 November 2008; after the school was ordered closed by the Syrian government due to what has been considered terrorist attack by the US, on 26 October 2008.

ALBERT AJI

DAMASCUS, Syria – An American school in Damascus closed its doors and told students to go home Monday after the Syrian government ordered it shut down in response to a deadly U.S. cross-border raid near the Iraqi border.

A voice message on the school's answering machine said the Damascus Community School was closed to comply with the government's decision. Students and teachers were seen leaving the school grounds Monday afternoon.

The closure order came two days after Syria said U.S. troops in four helicopters attacked a building inside Syria near the Iraqi border. Washington hasn't formally acknowledged the raid, but U.S. officials say the target was a top al-Qaida in Iraq figure.

The school and the cultural center, which are linked to the U.S. Embassy, cater to a small American community in the Syrian capital and other foreign residents. The Syrian government had demanded the cultural center close immediately and the school close by Thursday.

The students came to school as usual Monday but said they were told by the school's administration to leave. No reason was immediately given. One student said administrators told him and his classmates to pack up their books leave the building immediately.

An official at the U.S. Embassy in Damascus confirmed that the school, which serves elementary through high school students, was closing to comply with the Syrian government's demand it shut its doors after an Oct. 26 U.S. military raid that Damascus says killed eight people. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to speak to the media.

Officials at the school declined to speak with The Associated Press.

One foreign teacher who works at the school said Syrian authorities told the school's foreign teachers to leave the country within a week. The teacher spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

The school has 42 full-time and five part-time faculty members, and a majority are American and Canadian, according to the school's Web site.

On Sunday, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said his country may resort to more "painful" measures if the United States doesn't give an official explanation for the raid. He did not elaborate.

Syria also has threatened to cut off cooperation on Iraqi border security and demanded America apologize and promise not to repeat a deadly cross-border raid into its territory.

Syria has long been viewed by the U.S. as a destabilizing country in the Middle East, but in recent months Damascus had been trying to change its image and end years of global seclusion.

But American accusations that Syria isn't doing enough to prevent foreign fighters from crossing its borders into Iraq is a sore point in relations. Syria has said it is doing all it can to safeguard its long, porous border.

A Timeless Reminder

An Ultra orthodox Jewish man walks past the wall of Jerusalem's old city, on 2 November 2008.

This photograph while the artistry is beautiful, reminds one of the older photograph’s some people may have seen of Palestine, over 108 years ago.

Photograph’s such as this one of the Ultra orthodox Jewish fellow and one’s many see at times of Muslims especially of the past are a reminder of the timelessness that has always been Palestine.

Palestine is one country, while one can modernize it in certain respects; its timeless history is always walking the streets, seen in numerous buildings and the faces of such extraordinary people.

Iran advocates media to introduce real image of Islam

3 November 2008

Tehran-Spokesman of Foreign Ministry Hassan Qashqavi said on Sunday the capacity of mass media and information technology must be utilized to introduce real image of Islam.

Addressing an international conference on Islam and Media in the 21st century in Khartoum, Sudan, Qashqavi said that that Islamic scholars should downgrade minor difference among various Islamic sects and focus on neutralizing organized propaganda against Islam.

Qashqavi arrived in Khartoum Saturday night heading an Iranian media delegation to attend the conference and discuss promotion of Tehran-Khartoum media cooperation with senior officials of Sudan.

Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during his address to the conference, the spokesman outlined Tehran's view on the ways to lead world public opinion by media activities.

"Solidarity of media activities in the Muslim world is necessary to guide the world public opinion about Islam," Qashqavi said referring to the key role played by mass media to this end.

He stressed that Islamic states could successfully portray a logical and acceptable image of Islam for the world public opinion through making optimum use of mass media.

Qashqavi urged Muslim countries to pay due attention to thwart organized propaganda campaign against Islam instead of focusing on minor religious differences among various Islamic sects.

Commentary:

As most people know because it portrayed a false image of Islam with the Islamophobia media propaganda campaign by the Bush Administration predominately, that I have never approved, because the intention while it was not just falsified was down right slanderous.

Which should be against any good people’s religious belief’s not to do such as this to another religion, but in turn to always respect all religions; even sometimes if one may have a disagreement.

For one should focus on the truth of the disagreement, not mud slinging and lies as the US media propaganda has done.

Furthermore, I have always believed in the unity of the Ummah and I will admit, I have never actually made a pronounced focus on the differences of Sunni or Shia because of respect and that with this Islamophobia media propaganda problem; we are actually standing together, because these attacks are on the whole of Islam not caring what sect a person may belong too.

Nevertheless, I will even contend that these media propaganda attacks are not just on Islam itself, but Judaism and little by little other countries and religions that do not agree with the Bush Administration.

As if a big school yard Bush bully in short pants that kind of cuts in the inseam were saying, “If you do not give your milk money, I am going to beat you up and tell the other children a bunch of bad lies about you.”

Rallies marking National Day against arrogance kick off

3 November 2008

Tehran-Rallies marking this year's National Day Against Global Arrogance, an Iranian tradition since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, started here Monday from different parts of the capital.

People from all walks of life converged at the site of the former US embassy in Tehran, better known in Iranian history as the "Den of Spies."

Ralliers, including groups of school and university students, shouted slogans against the United States as they marched through Tehran's streets.

By chanting slogans such as "nuclear energy, is the legitimate right of the Iranian nation", the ralliers underscored the need for producing nuclear energy to generate electricity.

November 4 has great significance in Iranian history because of three decisive events: 1. Declaration of the day as the 'Students Day' in remembrance of several students martyred in 1978 while taking part in protest rally against the former Shah. (Considered a US collaborator.) 2. Sending to exile of the late Imam Khomeini in 1963. And 3. Take-over of the former US embassy in Tehran by university students followers of the Imam Khomeini in 1979.

Canaanite's Laugh at EU Police Mission Officer

One Day the Palestine Flag Flew in Honored Heights

A Palestinian flag erected and guarded in honor by Jewish soldiers, flies above a checkpoint near the old city of Hebron, on 2 November 2008.
Jewish security forces look on as Jewish settlers walk by a Palestinian flag that had previously been lit by Canaanite terrorists, at a checkpoint near the old city of Hebron, on 2 November 2008.
Jewish security forces look on, as Jewish settlers with saddened faces; pick up a burned Palestinian flag near the old city of Hebron, on 2 November 2008. The flag was burned in obstinacy, by the Canaanites.

This is one of those picture moments that one never forgets, because even though the Canaanites illegally attacked the Palestine flag; the deep admiration that was shown by the Jewish Palestinians for a very beloved country.

One could write numerous expressions about this day, but emotions are running a bit high, mostly towards the good and happiness of it all; unlike the two Jewish fellows that where saddened because of what the Canaanites so ferociously did; due to how the Canaanites really must feel about a country that was never there real home.

The Canaanites in uniform with there latest endeavors, reminds one more every day of the old Nazi Storm Troopers and everyone knows how they turned out, they failed.

But Nevertheless, something about flag’s, they will all stand tall and wave in the delicate breeze and am further reminded of the deep love of my beautiful family; that just happens to have two very wonderful religions.

Something, I probably should say is, I do not think I have ever disrespected the Jewish flag, because I actually know where the idea of this flag came about; with the tallit and the Magen David.

Furthermore, I all due respect, I never considered the Jewish flag as the taking of a country as how the Jewish people where misinterpreted during the war, but the honor and respect of being Jewish; which I can completely understand having to stand on that bridge and looking at two beautiful faiths.

For one must remember, the people of Palestine are a family of two faiths; that has endured for literally thousands of years by Allah‘s (God‘s) grace. -

Olmert Standing against Violence

Jewish Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (L) arrives for the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on 2 November 2008.

The Jewish people today vowed to combat rising violence in Palestine, after hard-line Canaanite terrorists and police clashed for the fourth time in less than two weeks; which was greatly appreciated by the Queen of Palestine because of people and the countries safety, from such acts.

In turn, the Queen of Palestine wishes to thank PM Ehud Olmert for taking a stand on behalf of everyone concerned and does have the full support of the Muslim Palestinians.

Nevertheless, with such a happy smile, Olmert must be having a wonderful day, which is so nice to see. Makes me think, when one person smile’s; everyone they see smiles too.

The Religious Overcoat

By HRM Deborah

A short time ago, I was reading of an apparent group of people that had converted to a particular religion and apparently one young woman not only did so for the wrong reason with apparent lack of understanding on there part to what later became a bit cantankerous, but also was apparently not actually following the dictates of the new religion at all.

This has became a growing concern of certain people changing or converting to a religion often times for either the wrong reason or for very unacceptable devious reason’s. It should be noted, in Islam this is called being a revert, not a convert.

No one should ever do what was just described above, for the simple fact regardless of what religion that I know off, it is not an overcoat one can take off or on when they feel like it; it simply does not work that way nor will Allah (God) approve, for the final end for these people to often times is actually hell.

As to religious leaders considering these types of converts conversion none and void is most understandable, because a few example’s I have seen of some converting to Islam and I will not elaborate here; because being a woman, one would here me for about and hour or more of the atrocities of it all or long story short these people where following there so called change in religion, like I would change a pair of shoes ten times in a single day.

To simplify, one law that is in Judaism and Islam, is if the father is of one of these two religions the children are to be raised and taught within these religions and furthermore, this also goes why women of these religions, should not marry someone other then within there own religion. Nevertheless, it saves to a lot of the problems, also just ascribed above.

Finally, if one actually wishes to be in a particular religion, keep the overcoat on at all times nor only half wear it; for it saves everyone and believe it or not, one will stay cool from the fires of hell.

Join Our Nation United in Prayer -- Nov. 3rd Election Eve at 3pm

This day of prayer is actually non-denominational and should be considered something everyone should take the time to do, because God does make a difference and we need Him now more then ever before.

So if you’re Muslim, Jewish, Christian or what ever one may be; please do not forget to pray 3 November for the betterment of not just the country, but its future; to include who will be the next president of the US.

All American’s deserve a country that is actually livable and free from oppression, slavery, immorality, poverty, too sorrow; which instead of God being angry, too one He would be happy to see. For when God is happy, mankind prospers and a good taste of Paradise can actually be seen on earth. -HRM Deborah

DALLAS, Nov. 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian-based organizations throughout the country are inviting the entire country to unite for 3 PM National Prayer on Election Eve, Monday, November 3rd, 2008, with the purpose of praying for repentance and God's Mercy, as we vote to select the next President of the United States of America. Pastor Mark Gonzalez, The Call Board Member and Latino Outreach Director says, "People are crying out for change, rather than crying out for Mercy! What God is asking us is to pray, "Father, Have mercy. God have mercy on America!"

On Monday, November 3rd, there will be 24 hours of continuous prayer in our country, with special prayers asking for God's Mercy prayers at 3 PM. These prayers are suggested to take place in all churches in the United States, at a time most convenient for each church. Church leadership is encouraged to invite youth and young adults to take active roles in this national prayer day to bolster the participation of young people. Hospital and home-bound individuals are also encouraged to participate.

Michael DePrimo, spokesperson for American Family Association, Inc., said, "Fifty years ago America distinguished right from wrong by looking at what God said was right and wrong. Not anymore. Today we do what is right in our own eyes. We therefore are morally blind as a nation, unable to see that we our destroying ourselves and our children."

DePrimo adds, "Our descent into spiritual darkness began in the early 1960's when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Bible reading and prayer in public schools were unconstitutional. A few years later the High Court tossed out the Ten Commandments. Then came the constitutional rights to kill babies through abortion, to possess and distribute hardcore pornography, and to engage in every manner of deviant sexual conduct. And now courts are declaring that homosexual marriage is constitutionally protected. These court decisions reflect the pitiful state of our national soul. Our only hope for national renewal is to cry out to God for mercy and to ask Him to change the heart of the American people one by one. This is a call to prayer. A call to repentance. That's the only thing that will save our country. And time is running out."

Eduardo Verastegui, actor, producer, singer and star of the award-winning 2007 movie "Bella," who recently produced a graphic video about the truth of abortion (
www.DuraRealidad.com) said our country needs prayer to stop abortions, "As a Latino, I was also shocked to learn that most abortion centers are located in neighborhoods where Hispanics and minorities live. It broke my heart when I discovered that more than 650 Latino babies are killed every day by abortion in the US. We need to put an end to abortion – and political candidates play a very important role in this matter."

EHTV Esperanza-Hope Entertainment President, Suzette Chaires says, "Let's get on our knees, especially on Monday, Election Eve. And, let's keep it going." Chaires adds, "This is a call to prayer for all; it is a call to all churches to hold times of prayer or candlelight prayer vigils. All people of faith are encouraged to join us in this prayer asking for God's mercy. This is a unique and important opportunity in the history of the United States of America to bring our country back to God, and ask Him to give us a fresh start. (Lamentations 5:21). In this election, so crucial for our children – and our children's children – let's unite to pray! It will make a tremendous difference in the lives of all Americans – and our entire country."
