UNRWA Gives Joy to Millions

While everything is being done to improve the refugee population’s conditions, with the hope in the future, that the refugee situation will strictly be more remembered as something in history; then current supportive reintegrating to self efficacy.

The care of Palestinian citizens is important and always has been a priority and the appreciation towards UNRWA during this time of trying to diligently work to nullify this situation.
As for those outside of Palestine that has tried to claim Palestinian refugee status illegally, they will not be allowed to come to Palestine for they are not actually Palestinian citizens or refugee‘s.

The one group that comes to mind at this time is the non-Palestinian activist organization calling themselves, Al Awda California, in the U.S. For while this organization may make this claim, they actually are not Palestinian citizens or Palestinian in any form; but rather have ties with known terrorist organizations, it has been reported.

The conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan drove up the number of world refugees for a second straight year in 2007, the United Nations said on Tuesday.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said there were 11.4 million refugees under its responsibility at the end of 2007, up from 9.9 million the year before.

"Much of the increase in refugees in 2007 was a result of the volatile situation in Iraq," the UNHCR said in a report, noting Iraqis and Afghans were nearly half the refugees under its care.

The number of people displaced by conflicts - including those uprooted in their own countries, who are not strictly defined as refugees - rose to 26 million from 24.4 million, the UNHCR said, citing 2007 figures from the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre.

"We have now seen two years of increases, and that is a concern," said Antonio Guterres, head of the Geneva-based agency. Continued

Palestine Closed Door Policy

Palestine has always had a closed-door policy, to who could come and live within her border’s.

This is why when the Jewish people needed help, their was never any question of them not being welcomed to Palestine, with open arms.

But as for the African refugee’s for example, they would not be welcome to Palestine and should be refused and the ones within Palestine border’s should be ousted from the country. Because, these people’s circumstances are a bit different, then what occurred for the Jewish people.

Usually, on issues’ such as this, it is directed to the Palestine legal government Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh; in regards to the removal of unwanted people within Palestine.

As for people wishing permission to live in Palestine, usually it is requested to the Queen of Palestine and she makes the decision.

As for the Jewish people wishing to remove these unwanted people, they very warmly have my gratitude.

I hope this creates understanding, with all due respect.

A Little Taste of Philosophy

Thinking back towards another anniversary of the Nakba and the time’s mostly in the kitchen when my mother use to get sad thinking about where she really came from. I still remember, the little tears she use to get in her eye’s wishing that the day would come; when she could go home.

She couldn’t understand living in a foreign country, why people had troubles understanding her even when she could speak the same language as the country she was living in. I must admit, of anyone in the family even that her and I became extremely close; I think partly because of this.

Over the years and even since her passing, I wondered this very idea. Until a few time’s here and there certain remarks of more compliment I think then anything, why people in the world may have troubles understanding us even though we may speak the same language as you and I Creteil this in the direction that many have expressed to me.

Even as a refugee, living in exile that most of us, not withstanding some who have became causalities of the war, are still deep rooted in our heritage and our religion. On this level, it has been considered that we think and speak on a more philosophical sphere. While this maybe unhandy at time’s, like I have even said a few times myself, I may speak the same language as you; but we are world’s apart in so many different directions.

While I know this probably will never change, I have always felt and still do, that people should appreciate these differences, instead of trying to destroy that which you do not understand.

With long scarf and woolen coat
To save her from the unknown
Of a vast and challenging place.

The fear and loneliness
Of those who came before
In the days of Ellis Island.

Going with her husband
To a place not of their birth.
